If even half of them turn out like this match, a 3 hour marathon with only 30 tickets separating the final score, I'd definitely show up.
Every other week sounds better; that would extend the window for signups and the teams would be fuller. CO's and Sl's would also have more time to get their stuff together.

I must admit it was kinda hectic for me with all the PM's these past two and a half days.

Aw, I didn't take any screens.

Was long, but enjoyable. I was in Orpal's squad on the US. Towards the end of the round, we were trying to slip into Southern City Center flag from the west along the mountains and helmet clashed with a few MEC infantry squads quite often.

I can recall a great one where we were SW of South City in the bottom garage area of one of those 4 story open buildings and fighting from garage bay to garage bay against a few MEC soldiers. Lobbing grenades back and forth before a BMP swept down the street and took care of us.

And how about that mosque, eh? We were on the roof for a while with Startrek and Cougar's squads. During that, there were a few MEC guys in a building far east down the main road on the waterfront in a 4 story "T" building that we were exchanging fire with for quite some time. Had to be about 500 yards from each other, but they managed to get 2 kills on us. Good thing we had a medic on hand!

Our "Seals" squad slipped behind lines at the opening of the match and capped Eastern City Center before we even had Western City Center. That was awesome. Of course, later on the MEC kept taking West City Center to nautral while we were concentrating on keeping East City Center.

Good work by all. The level of opponents that you face makes these so worth it.

For those who were no there, as a quick summary; the US advanced through 4 capture points from the docks all the way to East City Center. Most of the endgame fighting took place between East and South City Centers. The MEC capped up to West City Center at their high point, but the US quickly took them back to where we ended up. We only won by 30 tickets though, so this match was decided by the fighting and not by who held what bases. The way Muttrah is coded, I dare say that the control points didn't weigh that heavily into the round's results as opposed to if the US had actually made it to the MEC homebase. At that point, ticket bleed is so high that the win would be due to control points.

I had fun but I have to say that the fact that I was being kick around from squad to squad kinda bummed me out. I ended up manning AAs and doing occasional fire support missions... it was enjoyable but it could have been better for me and my squad mate (I think, I'm actually speaking for my own here).

ANd also, I mentioned on my post that I preferred USA team, and i think i was one of the only guys who did that, but I had to play MEC... but don't get me wrong, those are just details that I had no trouble dealing with.

I hope you guys keep doing this rounds.

GoreZaid wore out his arm with the rope.

My favorite part was Superfast killing 2 APCs at the begining with our HAT. That was a rope+HAT combo 2 times! GoreZaid and Superfast did a great job with that.

Yeah, Superfast and GoreZaid both did fantastic jobs that round. GoreZaid must have spring-loaded arms, considering how high he was throwing those ropes!

It was the toughest round I've ever had as a medic - everywhere we went, my team-mates were dropping like flies and their bodies were being over-watched.

It was great fun though. Thanks again T-Man for organising this, I can't wait for the next one.

Thanks for organising TMAN yet again!

It was a fun round, although long. We had a great squad and team. The rope thing was brilliant. We moved unseen all over the place!

Sorry i bailed abruptly at the end, but i was starting to fall asleep since it was after 1 AM.

    Again good game!

Just wanted to point out that the server is still password locked, I think an admin needs to sort that out ASAP.

    Re: Muttrah city slug fest!

My head is exploding today, I guess I was too exhausted for such a late game.

At the point South City was capping in our favour I got a bit too exited and forgot to assign defensive positions for my SM's thus they wiped us out before reinforcements could came.

Special thanks to my squad that had to experience nerve break down at the start of the round. I didn't have enough players on my disposal.

One creative criticism from my side though; As most highly organized rounds finish in 3-4 hour marathon, can we begin earlier next time ?

I went to sleep at 3 AM. As this was happening on Saturday when most people don't work I think its only fair to start at 2000 GMT +1 (1400 Eastern Standard time).
After lunch and still acceptable time for Euros ?

    Re: Muttrah city slug fest!

I like the idea of weekly "scrims". There could be a minimum number required to start the round, and if you don't get enough one week, set it up for the next...

This was definitely a tough fought round. I was in Katanama's squad on the MEC side and we had a horrendous KDR for the first couple of hours just getting our "hats" handed to us, but we rallied there at the end and had a few really good engagements.

I will also note that while there was some shenanigans before the round started with smoke grenades, random shooting, etc., everybody held it together very well and the round got started pretty quickly and was well organized. Great job everyone! Thanks for hosting!
