And yet it now requires three in a squad to have a medic? Let me ask, what in gods name do the developers have against the medic class? Seriously. Can we just get on with it and remove the gun from the kit?

Well, they probably don't like the fact that you can have a personal medic, set a rally, and then get a SAW... And it's probably due to all the kits requiring x amount of people. Maybe this is the best they can do for now to limit the SAW.
