Re: The Ocean, the Sky, and the Mob; I've Got the Blues
Snoogums was simply reiterating the request I made earlier in the feedback thread asking for fewer speculation posts and more feedback on actual game play changes. Hopefully you'll find time to get on the server and experience some of the changes for yourself soon.
And stay of drugs. Drugs are bad for you.

Re: The Ocean, the Sky, and the Mob; I've Got the Blues
Except when its called medicine then its ok but dont go confusing the two

So far the RP 30 sec rule seems to be limiting things quite effectively.
People can respawn with the squad but they are still vulnerable to being wiped out anytime the squad leader and/or most of the squad dies.
If this change was permanent I cant see any reason not leave rp in like this
With the old spawn on the SL like bf2, sometimes it was best if the squad leader held back. This rp change could promote that tactic now but I dont think so since it would require 1 or 2 also to hold back ?
Maybe it will encourage a more expendable recon fireteam within the squad to spare unnecessary sl loss and set backs.
The other aspect would be juggling the sl position and/or splitting the squad in order to set a new rally that way. I would not expect this to happen too much and it means loss of cohesion and at least one member.
In a recent tournament game, the enemy team used logistics trucks to deploy entire squads, using the 2 men rule to set a RP. It should be at least 3 for this reason I think
I dont exactly blame people for using what works but for this reason even with the 30 sec rule it should be 3 or 4 even to set a rp so that there is no weak point
Recent game of K valley, 6 fob set in the game but all over run. I'd like to see parachute crates allowed every 30 or 60 mins at least for allied forces as air superiority always counts even in a ground war

Re: The Ocean, the Sky, and the Mob; I've Got the Blues
When I made the comment I was misinformed. I didnt know they changed it to a 30 second availability, which works just fine for me. I use the temp rally tactic when Im behind enemy lines in Muttrah (AKA inside the Mosque defending against the entire other team)
It brings a more realistic sense to "Rally Point" as "Oh crap guys, most of us are [dead] disorganized, so lets meet back here!" and less as "Okay guys, this is the squad HQ"
Maybe instead if it being impossible to place when surrounded by hostiles, just have it appear for 5-10 seconds like it did before? That way it's still the realistic "gather our senses" place, and usable when outnumbered. For things like defence.

I'd really rather it not be useable when you back yourself into a corner. You should retreat from contact or defeat your enemy before you receive reinforcements that cannot be cut off.

Agreed with Name, reinforcements and therefore rallies should only come in when you aren't surrounded by enemies, but have escaped with a few members still alive and then able to regroup.

Re: The Ocean, the Sky, and the Mob; I've Got the Blues
can be fixed by upping rally distance-from-hostiles requirement to 150-200m

Because...
People have to talk about something just to keep their voice boxes in working order so they'll have good voice boxes in case there's ever anything really meaningful to say.
