    New to BF2 need some help!

    Hey guys, I just purchased a copy of Battlefield 2, I have just installed it onto my computer, I need some help, how should I patch the game, what order? And my other question being how do I get/install this PR mod. I have viewed the sticky thread, but that seems something like 2 years ago. So I would really appreciate any help on this topic!

    Sure thing!

    My installation copypasta assumes you are installing BF2 from retail disks at 1.0-1.3

    -------------
    Install BF2
    Restart Computer
    Download BF2 Patch 1.41
    Install BF2 patch 1.41
    Restart Computer
    Download BF2 Patch 1.5
    Install BF2 patch 1.5
    Restart Computer
    Download the Current PR Core and Level Files.
    Install the Core files
    Install the Level files
    Restart computer.

    You are now ready to play PR!

    For optimum communications, try out the Mumble Voice Program and the good old classic, Teamspeak 2
    BF3 is a good game, and when they finish it, it may even be a great game.

    Also remember that both of the BF2 patches take a while to start so after you open them, give them a bit of time to start up. Don't automatically asume its broken.

    Don't forget to update your PunkBuster with PBSetup after you've installed everything. http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

    Also, scroll the manual briefly and familiarize yourself with the mod a little. This thing changes all the time.

    there is a patch to fix alt-tab crash, can´t find the link now, someone else may have it.

    Instead of creating a new thread I'll ask here.

    Sometimes I try and try to join a squad that isn't full but it won't let me. WHY?

    This is driving me nuts. I have searched but came up empty.

    Either because the squad is locked, you're already in another squad, you are dead or wounded, yeah I can't think of anything else. Either any of the above or some kind of bug.

    If you've spawned at some point, or were kicked/disconnected/left/etc and rejoined on the same map, you can't join a squad while you're dead / until you spawn.

    Here is the alt-tab hotfix. You WILL need it at some point:
