    It is the rule in war, if ten times the enemy's strength, surround them; if five times, attack them;
if double, engage them; if equal, be able to divide them; if fewer, be able to evade them; if weaker, be able to avoid them.

Quote from the Tactical Gamer Primer:
Within Tactical Gamer, ANY activity that capitalizes on the limitations of a game to provide the advantage rather than that advantage coming from superior teamwork, strategy and tactics, is frowned upon. We all want to win when we play, but the focus at Tactical Gamer should be one of winning with some sort of dignity, honor, and skill, not because you were able to out-exploit the other team or box them into a corner built on technological weakness that gives you the advantage.

    Re: Introduce Yourself

    Hello all

I just got BF2 last week and I really like it. (been busy with WoW since launch so other games have suffered)

One thing I do not like is the obvious cheating on some servers so I asked over at Futuremark for some good servers and Lith1um pointed me here and I am glad he did.

I hope to get into some good teamwork games and learn some tricks from the pros.

Currently downloading the Dcon mod and the Reality mod (1.6 gb of mod goodness).

Anyways, nice to see some group oriented communities exist.

I also have HL2 (CS:S DoD:S) which I still play from time to time.

Do you guys use Ventrilo or Teamspeak?

My in game name is Sickmantx for BF2 and Sickman for CS/DoD

Hope to be fighting besides you in game soon! (after the DL)

    Hello.

I downloaded PR today and jumped on the server for 10 minutes. I did have fun although I spent most of the time trying to figure out the controls (it's been a while) and how the game worked.

    Re: Introduce Yourself

We use teamspeak mainly to communicate between rounds and to get the attention of the admins if needed. The teamspeak server info can be found in my signature. Welcome to TG!

    Re: Introduce Yourself

    Hello everybody. I'm Wasteland, aka JP*wasteland.soldier, [PR]ARRC|Wasteland, and Wasteand-PR0.5

I've played PR since 0.3 last August, and have played a couple hundred hours.

I'm an admin on the DevFile 24/7 Al Basrah server (which you may know as the #2 most popular server in PR... second to you guys). Since I got the ban-hammer at DevFile a month or two ago, I haven't played anywhere else, which has led to a lot of Al Basrah for me. Too much really. I'm starting to branch out again.

I've always loved the TG server, as whenever there's TG guys on, there's a good number of cohesive squads. I especially enjoy commanding, as people actually listen to your commands (who'd have thought?)!

Anyway, I decided I should join the forum and see what's up.

    Heyas,

My handle is the same as this
    <-------

I actually stopped playing vanilla BF2, because of the the Hacks, and one shot bot head kills. Then I tried PR, and found your server on the list, and must say its pretty awesome, with allot of quality folk making bf2 fun again.

I really enjoy being in squads that actually work together, and Ive learned allot from the TG folk, as far as leading a squad goes. I have to admit though I don't know the military Lingo yet, but I like too think I pick up the slack where its needed.

Thanks for the community & server!

    Snarf0

PS. Ive read all newby rules
    thx

    Re: Introduce Yourself

Welcome aboard! The Irregulars hosts several training session for PR that we open to the public. Keep your eye on the Irregulars forum for times and announcements.

There are also a lot of really good threads on strategies that may help you out. Of course you are always welcome to ask questions form any of the TG folks. Most of them are pretty nice

Finally read over the Primer, server rules, and the SOP's. They explain why we do things the way that we do. Once again welcome aboard!

    Re: Introduce Yourself

Hey everyone. you'll see me on the battlefield as therealknewman, or if I'm having a good day you'll never see me . I've been into battlefield vanilla since it came out but wading through the pools of smacktards and such got to be annoying so I made the switch over to PR during .4 if I remember correctly. I joined the forums because the TG server was alot of fun.
