Greetings all. I am a new registry with TG and although I joined this group mainly for PRMM I have yet to actually play on any of the TG servers. My main concern is about the rules regarding membership. Do I need to be a paying member to join up with TG to use the TS server? Or to get access to some of the servers?

Don’t get me wrong; I am not adverse at all to the concept of becoming a paid member. I have been looking for a group of decent people to play steady tactical shooters with for long enough now and if spending a few bucks a month means playing with serious people, I’m in. With winter coming on (Canada here), I usually start gaming a lot more and would be more then happy to join up with you all.

As for shooters I also play Ghost Recon 2 on the 360, BF2142, and just picked up ARMA. Pretty excited about getting back into another virtual battlefield simulation from BI as I’m a OFP vet. Been out of the loop with regards to the BF series for a bit now due to obligations in WoW. I am gladly done with the MMO thing now though and just reinstalled the latest version of PRMM. Looking forward to squading up with you guys so let me know what the deal is in regards to how the TG memberships, titles, and ranks work and I will join up with you pronto.

Welcome to TG!

You do not need to be a supporting member to be active in the community,
and no one will force you to be one.
You have come to the right place if you want some real tactical, mature action. Hope to see you guys on the battlefield!

Join in on our PR server,you won't ever connect to anybody elses again! Being a supporting member (paid membership) isn't required,but will give you all kinds of extra's thrown into the mix,including a reserve spot on our server. Check out the sticky threads to get more info. Welcome to the site,hope to see you on the server soon.

Hi there! i will introduce myself the same way they do it in the arma forum .
1. In-game Name : ratatomik
2. Any group affiliation? No time for that , yet

3. Any experience with Bf2 : Yeah a lot , but only fews weeks with PR
4. Are you active in any other games at TG? arma soon , waiting for my copy
5. Any interest in mission editing/scripting? No
6. Any real world Military experience? yeah im serving in the CF right now.

other than that , i always enjoyed teamwork in BF2 , so the first time i joined a PR game it was like a revelation hehe. Its SO much more fun. really feel more real when you ear the rounds cliping near you. I like to lead a squad from time to time , but i always demand total cooperation with my teammates. I really hate squad leader who do stupid things or just dont understand that WE HAVE TO MOVE SIRRR , WER SITTING DUCK HERE (under heavy fire...)
So im looking forward to see you all on the server!

Hello everyone my name is Andy Wickens and I've been on the server for a littlewhile now. Have to say had only really played vanilla before finding out about PR, the TG site and server and its been a revelation. Nice to find a like minded bunch of mature(ish lol) individuals. The people I've spoken to and played with this far have been fantastic, a real laugh and very friendly and helpful. This has been my first experience of a proper online community and my only concern is that anything else will probably be a disapointment. Being able to play using genuine tactics and having to (try) and think about what you are doing is exactly what I have been looking for. Big thanks to all the people involved in the running of the server and site. Will be becoming a full fledged supporting member shortly and looking forward to getting more involved in the future. See you all out there.

Andy, you are exactly what this server is about, and a great squaddie...had some very fun rounds with you...catch up with you again soon....SOO much work lately, so little fun..

Hello,

My game name is O=T-M-A-N=O. You couldn't get TMAN in BF2, as that was taken, so I had to do the best I could. Played BF2 with O=T-M-A-N=O up to SFC rank and also played my main player tminnich0000 up to 1SG rank. Played BF2 normal game for about 18 months pretty steady, then found PR. Never going back.

I play Sunday nights regularly with my best friend of 30 years WARLAB. He and I take PR seriously and try to play with as real a set of tactics as the game allows.

I am a retired US Army Warrant officer with 20 years in the US Army. I live in Germany and still work for the USA Army at HQ US Army Europe in Heidelberg.

Hope to see you all on PR on Sundays, or whenever I have time to play and my wife lets me get away with it ;-)

The Tactical Gamer PR-mod server has always been a guaranteed server of stability, good ping for me, and great team work/players. I pretty much play this server exclusively among one or two others. Just thought I'd drop in and say thanks!

Hello, I'm Spendius. I'm new to PR, but very enthusiastic given i'm a former OFP fan.

1. In-game Name : Spendius_MBK
2. Any group affiliation? no
3. Any experience with Bf2 : almost 40 h, no experience with chopper / aircraft
4. Are you active in any other games at TG? My machine is too old for ArmA, but I recieved Opposing Fronts today...
5. Any interest in mission editing/scripting? No
6. Any real world Military experience? no.

So far, I spent maybe 3 hours on PR, and can't switch back to BF2. I'm still learning the basics, but I can follow orders and use VOIP.

Also, I think I got banned this week end from a TG server for negative score. I didn't do anything wrong, i got rolled over a bit by one of our tanks (it IS difficult to stand on a moving tank after all. Bad idea...). Then, spent some time spotting enemies while moving towards an enemy point with a guy. Go out of cover, get sniped, and banned for negative score. I didn't shoot a single bullet...
I hope the ban is not permanent.

i fried a harddrive and now when i try to install BF2 it stops halfway through the second disk at _objects_ whatever the hell says it failed installation to try again from the beginning well if i dont get it on here so i can put PR back on im gonna huck my pc out my window............ Help!
