Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello Everyone,
My names Luke, im 17 from Kent (UK). I've been playing PR for a few years and with every release comes more addiction. I am head of a UK Project Reality clan,so I have a lot expereince with scrims and stuff.
I have a few questions:
1) Whats the commitment level in TG?
2) Do you have to wear the tags in-game?

Re: Introduce Yourself
Good choice of name, let the confusion begin!

1) I'm not entirely sure what you been by this question. If you mean by participating in scrims and things of that matter, you'd have to ask one of our PR admins.
2) Wearing the |TG| tag in game means that you've read our Primer, SOP, and agree to abide by our rules. If you're asking whether wearing the tags is required, it's not.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Thanks for answering, just with running a clan and all that, I just want a community where I can make friends.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hey Mariine, welcome to TG.
1) TG is not a clan but a community, everybody who plays by the rules is welcome on the server. Everyone is commited as much as he wants
.
2) As mentioned in '1' and I 'll quote from the rules:
If you ever feel like scrimming against TG, contact one of our BF2 admins (see list in my sig), I 'm sure they 'll be up for it.Anyone who endorses and practices our playstyle and rulesets may wear the TG tag when playing on our or other servers. Bottom line: if you support TG for what it is and want to show that support, the TG tag is a good way to do it. Many players who love it here choose not to sport the tag in their playername, and that's fine, too, if that's what you prefer. The option is there for you to take or leave.
We love it when people support this community with Supporting Memberships, but it's not required to wear the TG tag.
I just want to re-iterate that by wearing the TG tag you are representing TG and our style of play. Wearing the TG tag means you have read and understand our rules, SOPs & announcements."
PS: crap, I didn't see Marine already replied on the next page... mondays.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hey guys, I only recently picked up PR, I've been playing BF 2 for ages (PS2 and PC more recently), I'd have to figure out the exact times, but I was wondering if anyone could show me the ropes on the training server sometime?
Well, not really sure what else to say, hope to see you guys in game once I get a bit better.
Cheers

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hey new people
I can take some time tonight (Euro times) if you want wolf, send me a PM and we can figure something out also about what you want to learn.
Otherwise you might want to check out this thread about the Mentorship program run by Gunner. If people are becoming so bored when playing that they have to resort to this immature behaviour I will give them something to do, call it a project. The project is "appeal a ban". - Wicks

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi I downloaded PR last night and played your TG server. It was really Laggy, but I live in the UK so I kinda expected it. If there are any other British PR players out there I would appreciate a good server to go on / tips to make the TG one less laggy. =).

Re: Introduce Yourself
You must 've caught the server on a bad moment or something might 've been wrong on your end. We have lots of people from Europe who play on TG (myself included) who are able to play without any noticable lag. I can play fine with a ping between 100 and 150.
Make sure you give it another go cause TG is imo the best PR server out there.
oh... and welcome to PR
.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Thanks for the reply. Ill try it again. It was last night at about 8pm (prime time in the UK) The TG servers for other games are great so I really want to get this one to work as PR is basically the game that TG is all about. =)

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hey all. former BlakOps member here. That group went belly up as boredom with the game grew. Can't wait to get my skills back up in PR. McGann and Portable Cougar can vouch for me. Looking forward to squadding up. This is a totally different game compared to vanilla BF2. I am the student so feel free to give advice.
