Nahh...no health bar. I like it that way. If you're badly hurt you'll start bleeding. I think that's more realistic than having to look at a bar to gauge your health status. That's what makes it fun. Sometimes you have no idea what your health situation is. Just seek out a medic.

I like the cut of your jibe sailor.

The players can say, "I think I got hit?" "Medic, come check me out."

Medic: "Dude, yeah, you were hit." "Give me about 30 seconds and your solid."

    Good point.

/Rick gets up and goes out to the local recruiting stations and enlists in the U.S. Army so that he can experience true combat.

I am tired of video games and their lack of realism.

There are other indications. If you have 50% or less health, you get the cough & blood on the edges of the screen.

I never knew what the magic number was. So if you're not coughing then you have at least 50% health. Good info.

Is that fact or guesstimate? I always suspected I was a 2 foot drop away from dying when I was coughing.

If it's an indicator of 50% or less then it is indeed useful!

I believe it is 50% where there is some indication. I'm not sure if that info is up on the PR wiki yet or not.

As for the coughing, there is also a bug that should be worked out with PR v0.41. So what you are hearing could also be the bug.
