Post CO pledge to his/her Squad leaders.

    Greetings Project Reality players.

I have compiled three different game pledges for each of the three different roles in the game in order for the positions to be played for best gameplay within the mod.

CO. CO’s pledge to his/her Squad leaders
SL. SL’s pledge to their platoon
SM SM’s pledge to their Squad leaders.

These protocols should be read by those who wish to play the game on the tactical gamer server and get the most out of a mod that has reality in its handle.

Seeing how the Commanding Officer is the most important player for enabling the platoon to function well, I will start there.

***Note:**** leave feedback for needed corrections.

As the CO I will pledge the following to my Squad leaders:

    During the count down timer:

I will condense squads in order to maximize coordination and minimize radio traffic.

I will press the start button and get a look at what my squads are built to do ie (jets/sniper/support/tank) I will use this time to work on a strategy.

I will not interrupt the SLs while they are talking to their squads while the game clock is ticking down. I will wait to the game starts and communicate individually and get a radio link conformation and give orders from there. [The reason for this is that the ability to talk to one squad leader does not work during the count down. So you would be talking to all (up to 9) at one time and possible cause confusion].
Note: a SL who communicates to me during the count down timer may receive a brief verbal message to ok their plans.
    ___________________________

    When the game starts:

I will begin with all communications to my squad leaders with:
Squad x, do you read? (This will allow the Squad leader to silence the squad before talking and to not distract him/her too much while they are in mortal combat.)

I will get a radio comm link and get a conformation on radio status with the squad who is most critical to initial deployment. From there I will issue orders.

I will give orders to all squad leaders in order to maximize platoon coordination.

As the CO, next to tactics and strategy completion, I will endeavor to be the liaison between infantry and support (air/tank/jets/transport choppers/ gunships). Based upon the requests of squad leaders and priority, I will have these support squads correctly coordinated to help the infantry get the damn job done.

As the CO, I make sure that each of the above happens before I personally assault the enemy.

As the CO, I will use my assets to adequately aid you.

As the CO, I will try to aid you and your squad’s gameplay and fun. I.e. do not have one squad defend a cold position the whole match. Rotate squads out.

Re: CO pledge to his/her Squad leaders.

As the CO I will think about issueing a command twice and order this once.

Doing so will prevent SLs from being issued several orders in a very short time span.

By the time the SL gets his/her warriors to fall in and head to a direction, a new order to atcually head back to the CP or another Aero of Operations will soon take place again. The Squad is now zig zagging on the battlefield and on the move, thus suptible to ambush and random fire.

Ironically, when a CO gives such orders they cause more choas and bring down moral.

Instead as the CO, take the extra seconds, to view the battlefield after inital orders are given and devolpe a strategy for plan Bs.

Also, if a SL wishes to confirm these orders is a good thing.

    1. They atcually are communcating.
    2. You may have issued the orders to the wrong squad despite thinking about the command.
    3. The SL being close to the ground has a better prespective* thus giving the CO feeback allowing him/her to belay those orders. COs love feedback and intel.

    * This assumes the SL is reporting contact to their defended postion or reporting movement, or reporting enemy resistance to an assault icon.

In conclusion, COs, set-back and look at the big picture and think well before issuing orders to a squad that would need transport or needs to travel through hostile territory to get to the location.
