If the US capture Docks they should get one or two APC's back at the carrier. This would make capturing the docks a viable and realistic strategy as it gives the US a place to land supplies needed for a land invasion. APC's are pretty vulnerable, especially in an urban setting so they won't tip the balance of the map too far in favor of the USMC but still give them some added cover, fire support and spawn points.
