Re: Noob Alert
Hehehe.. Well, I did get in some game time tonight! I'm quite impressed. It's going to take a little getting used to, but I like the game dynamics a LOT better than vanilla BF2. I even jumped in to take over the command position after my team was getting hammered on whatever map that is with the Chinese temple in the south. We were losing tickets bad so I figured if I could at least get in and coordinate a little we might pull off a win. We did!

Need to get a snack. I'll probably be in again in a few but I'll definitely be around this weekend for the event!

Re: Noob Alert
So Apophis, you do know that you automatically volunteered yourself for the PR Weekend event by joining us in the netherworld that is PR, correct?

Re: Noob Alert
I also hopped into the CO chair against you for PLA that round when I saw 5 full squads and no CO. We kept getting pushed back to our last one or two flags and could never hold onto both the northern and southern flags and then make it to the middle before we lost one. After I came back from a few deaths by some rulebreakers, we had somehow capped both northern and southern flags and both middle flags with the score 10-50 with bleed going, but we couldn't pull it off. Great games.

Re: Noob Alert
OT: I was in Grunt's squad for that round, and I've got to say - that Estate flag up in the north west is one of, if not THE greatest CP I've ever seen!! Tons of varying cover around the perimiter.. bushes, buildings, construction materials, etc. And then the center building itself is just amazing... it's like Construction site on Sharqi, except it's HUGE! 5-stories of unique stairways and blind corners... I'd love to have a small-teams game just fighting over that one flag.

Re: Noob Alert
Definitely not sunset. It (the map in question) has pigfarm, processing and government office on the US side of the river, then fishing village, estate, local temple and outpost on the Chinese side.
I just realised how geek it is that I can reel off the flag names like that.BFCL TF2 league admin

Re: Noob Alert
The map was Qwai River.
1stMIP (E-male, John_C and John_F
, Wimpinator, Stone and Calvin) fought over Temple for most of the round and took part in the final assault against fishing village. Excellent performance by all squad members and our CO Acid. His arty backup helped us a lot.
I just wonder which squad was that we were figthing against for temple. Dont tell me it was the bizarro MIP under Grunt's command

Re: Noob Alert
The fighting at Temple was brutal and constant. The only reason it stopped was because we took Fishing Village allowing the pressure to be relieved on the Temple flag. Unfortunately that happened at the very end.
Gret SLing from John C as usual with backup by EMale. Last night was one of the best rounds of PR I have had yet, even though we lost.Retired 6th DB

Re: Noob Alert
No wasn't me fighting at Temple John C....I would've picked up on that RIGHT away. I came in late and there were no openings so I started a squad.... Sent a text message to my team asking for volunteers and quickly had an outstanding squad of TGers fighting the PLA at Estate.
The PLA put up a good fight there. We capped the flag and moved out as we thought another squad was going to defend. We lost the flag (there is a lesson there) a minute or two later and found ourselves trying to take it back as the round ended.
Great Job to those in my squad. I had to step away for about 10 minutes at the end of the round but I didn't really want to.
PS...EXcellent Excellent work with the choppers...Can't remember if it was the 9th or the 160th ( I think it was the 160th) doing yoemans work on transport. Anytime we needed transport it was there in minutes...putting us down exactly where we wanted. Good games last night !|TG-1st|Grunt
