Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!
Password nights are created to guard against idiocy but simply doesn't have the ability to do so.
Videos can only inform someone of the rules and tests can only measure someone's basic knowledge of the rules. Unfortunately, both are incapable of predicting or controlling what someone will do in-game when emotions and egos run high. You may get 100% of the people to score a 100% on a test but disruptive people already know the rules; they just choose to ignore them. The only way to guard against this is persistent, fair, and iron-fisted admining. People don't follow rules because of the rules; they follow them because of the consequences.

Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!
Wolfe sums it up very nicely. The goal of the video is to simply ensure that everyone knows the rules, so if they break them, they cant fall back on the "I didnt know" excuse, because they would have had to read them to join the server. Thus, we can have some of that good old "persistent, fair, and iron-fisted admining" that Wolfe spoke of and nobody can complain about it.

Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!
Maybe less people would complain about the video if the BF1942 music was replaced with an attractive voice reading the rules seductively to you... maybe some soft jazz in the background.
But on a serious note, I guess the video is a fool proof way to get the proper rules of engagement for dropping the ban hammer. My only request is reducing the audio volume in the flash movie, it kinda blew out my ear drums because I was listening to Metallica while trying to find the pw

Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!
No, I'm not downloading a collection of music to change out for the videos. The 1942/kashan music stays.

Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!
I was only joking but the bi ming music is allready on your machine. Its located:
BF2 root folder\mods\pr\common_client.zip\Sound\menu\Music
The Bi Ming one you're looking for is called bi_ming.ogg (BTW, you'll need a player capable of playing ogg [winamp does that])
