Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
Those lock on missiles take out a cobra in one go. Dont presume your'll hit just because you get a clear tone but if it does hit (Ive had one hit when shot short range like a bazooka) its a straight kill as far as I know.
That probably also applies to the blackhawk as the cobra has armour but Im not sure if anything can down an A10 in 1 go bar a tank shell or IED which has been done apparently. Someone else will have to confirm that one either way.
You cant lock littlebirds or other smaller helis I think, but they'll go down with small arms if your lucky.
They should hand out a squads worth of these AA weapons on this map, its the only chance an insurgent force would have.
Head shots are lethal I think, a three shot burst with just one hitting the head is a kill Ive noticed

14" oh boy!
The Marksmen and Sniper kits have different purposes. However, I am sometimes afraid to use the M14 due to its massive sound....Or at least, thats how it sounds.

1st rule of PR, you don't talk about where the m95 is.
Least thats the way it is on the PR site.

Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
I actually printed out the map of Al Basrah with ammo dumps and weapon kits since they're so vital to the Insurgents. Some weapons don't show up in all locations listed though; I think there might be some differences between the maps (64 vs 32).

Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
Well, my way of thinking, if I am asked I will tell if not during a game, if during a game and I do not think it is going to hinder me or my team I am going to tell. Just passing on what I would like people to do to me if I ask questions.
Marksman kit to me is way more accurate, but the cannon sound usually gives me away and if I stay in position I end up getting killed. So I will pick off a person or two and then on to another location for another kill or two. Also since they are more powerful guns the bullet drop is far less than a sniper rifle. That extra zoom power does not help me with accuracy, makes me miss more cause I forget to acount for the bullet drop when zoomed 2X. As I have heard others also make mention about while playing.
Also randomizing the location would be good if in a general area, not all over the place. Let say the M95 can spawn anywhere in the airport not just the bunker. That would be interesting, would see a bunch of people at the onset of the map just running around like a chicken with it's head just cut off.

Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
I'm more effective with the M14, yes, but that's because I'm bad at things. The sniper hits exactly where I want it to every time at any distance; the problem is wanting it in the right place.

Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
The Marksman kit is supposed to be used in conjunction with the rest of the squad, its not a loner kit. You shouldn't have to worry about people finding you since you should have 5 other people watching your back.

Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
Exactly: Marksman kits should be used to help squads approach area's via it's ability to keep heads down from it's distinctive sound. Sniper kits are meant for counter-sniping, killing SL's and clearing AAA guns or things of that nature. If you are trying to play sniper, make sure you have the sniper kit.

Re: Some advanced questions for the advanced players
Yes very true statements here, One thing that's my pet peeve when it comes to Snipers/Marksman, is that they (the individuals) like to work alone, and in a separate squad also. I hate that when I play commander. If your a marksman you don't need to be in your own squad, you need to support a squad by being in one and moving with them. Snipers should also be in a squad also, so they can coordinate with them. It's much easier for a SL to say "Hey, Sniper we're pinned can you get a shot on them?" in VOIP then to type it out in teamchat. Then wait for a response, plus it makes it a bit easier for the Marksman/Sniper to find the targets if their supporting a squad. And the fact that it's funner.
