Re: Please welcome the new shiny hammer
Its actually gotten pretty good as of late. We have very good coverage now. Our biggest problem was that we had very few people reporting problem players, but as of the last 2 weeks or so people are reporting a lot more on TS and there has been a noticeable change in the level of play.
As usual though, the admin team is always evaluating our coverage, if we need more admins, and who would be a good candidate.

Re: Please welcome the new shiny hammer
No, it really hasn't. I've been firing off reports in-game (using WhiskeySix's suggested method) and on the rare occasion where an admin has been on BF2CC (perish the thought of seeing frequent, visible coverage on the server) nothing has been done.
I guess my definition of good involves quality objective-based teamwork, utilising real-world combat tactics, whereas yours involves people shutting up and accepting the way things are.BFCL TF2 league admin

Re: Please welcome the new shiny hammer
If an admin isn't around when using Whiskey's method, please follow up with an admin with the other methods mentioned.
Not everyone has the experience or understanding of what you mention. It's up to the TG community (not the admins) to help teach them.I guess my definition of good involves quality objective-based teamwork, utilising real-world combat tactics, whereas yours involves people shutting up and accepting the way things are.
We need everyone's support in trying to make that happen.

Re: Please welcome the new shiny hammer
<<<< Still blissfull

Having "adminned" vanilla for some time I can say that it is tough to be everywhere at the same time. Even with the CC open you can't just sit there and watch the chat log for any great amount of time without having your eyes bleed. If you try to do the dual role of gamer and admin you become embroiled in a firefight and someone is shooting off a request for something that just gets lost. If you even see it (as an admin) it seems to roll off the top of the screen at a rate equivelant to 20x's faster than any other text in the game.
The more eyes the better. To my estimations TG does a fine job. I may be in the minority but that's ok. In real life I am a crippled black/asian lesbian with no greencard so that about sums up my minority status as the one in a billion. Not really - just a happy go lucky American who is content.
*Don't forget, along with the in game "reporting - IOOB for weird fookin squad name" there is still TS, PM and assorted other ways of reporting here at TG though I haven't fudged with any of them. Instantaneous satisfaction may not always be available though there are other routes to follow for everyone who has a problem.Last edited by IOOB_583; 05-05-2007 at 10:18 AM. Re: Please welcome the new shiny hammer
Thanks for the Welcome everyone. I was trying to keep my hammer shinny but I've already busted a few skulls.
Thanks to everyone on TeamSpeak and In-Game making reports and warning teammates about our rules. You all make the real difference. Thank you.
