when i SL i may allow the marksman kit depending on circumstances.

much rather Officer, support, H AT, rifleman, medic, medic (spec ops depending on whats needed)
Never played with me then. You should make it known right off the bat what you want from your sniper. Give them a move marker where you want them, or tell them where the squad is moving, and ask him where he feels most comfortable covering the unit and providing recon for you.

Snipers can be detrimental to the enemy and be a huge asset to your squad. So as a sniper in PR, speaking on behalf of snipers who care in PR, its unfair to kick us or frown upon us rockin' the sniper kit. Give us a chance, give us some orders, and ask for our input and you will be surprised by some of us.

If I assign, say, a medic kit to someone, and they play with it for a while, and then come on the comm and request to change kits to a sniper, I've got no issue with that. There's always at least 1 "misc" person in my squad that I use to pick up slack regarding kits, and I don't mind reorging the squad slightly.

But when I assign you a medic kit and you head straight to the rally for a sniper kit, so that when I'm lying there bleeding out yelling for a medic the guy that should be healing be is 100m away with a sniper rifle, you bet your ass I'm going to kick you.

I understand what you are saying but I need ALL my guys on the flag. I cant even count the times where we almost capped(and would have if we had one more on the flag), and ended up getting wiped out.

    Re: My SL secrets!

Statistically speaking, it is true that majority of sniper/marksman kit pickers are score/stat lonewolves. But just because of that, lets dont forget the great service true teamplayers provide to their squads with a sniper/marksman kit.

It is all about being a teamplayer. Give a kitchen sink to a teamplayer and he'll find a way to support his squad with it.

But also remember that kit layout is SL's call. I understand Dirtboy's preference. It depends on what kind of squad you are running and what type of missions you take.

This I nicked from Bc2ID's sig and obviously the great man himself but I definetly agree:

"Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results." Gen. George Patton

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.
