Re: Proning...Friend or Foe.
I would love if they gave us the ability to do a butt swipe, That would solve a lot of issues in CQB, have a buttswipe that knocks back the target and disorients them for a moment. That would make it harder for people to do the instaproning because they're sitting on their butt about to get stuck in the face with a bayonet. When rounding a corner if the enemy is THAT close, you don't have the option of using your rifle because of how close he is. So you knock him back, and either quickly take your knife and put it in his gullet, or you pop a burst into him. OR if you're a nice guy you force him to surrender and bring him back as a prisoner. But again, we don't have the ability to do such a thing.

Re: Proning...Friend or Foe.
One thing PR incorporates is something I've wanted shooters ( at least shooters with ironsights) to have for a long time and that is a delay when shouldering the weapon. This has many advantages to include making lmgs not as easily usable in cqb as they have always been in for games. Could a similar delay be put in for proning? Maybe there could be a delay as the soldier moves to the ground, or maybe it could simply further the delay of shouldering the weapon after proning. This would still allow quick proning to avoid fire as is realistic. It would also allow proning to move into firing positions at greater distances when you have time to position your rifle.

Re: Proning...Friend or Foe.
If I am fired upon from a bit of range and isn´t hit, I will most certainly hit the dirt and seek cover and try to figure out where the threat is. I see no problem with that and its a natural thing to do. I dont know if this is viewed as insta-proning, but I dont see it as such.
On the other hand, if I round a corner and run into an enemy, I would not resort to throwing myself at his feets. Its not realistic in my opinion. Going around a corner in a crouched position to maintain a low profile is valid tough.443.Urban Infantry Bat. / Bat. Anti-tank Platoon

Re: Proning...Friend or Foe.
I always go around corners crouching for the reason to
1. go around the corner fast
2. make a relative small target.
3. be steady enough to shoot and hit a target.
4. to have the ability to retreat fast if fired upon!
people that instant-prone round corners have no chance at all to retreat back. and that is in my opinion a to big risk to take for a soldier.A crazy solder from the deepest forests of Skåne, Sweden.
