Mestia (keep the AK out! loved it with just the rifles for the militia)
    Jabal
Al Basrah with civilians (just stoned two healing guys to death yesterday!)
EJOD Desert (this map gives the feel of having "lines" the most)
    Seven Gates
    Qwai River

Sorry to hear about the arty being removed. I hope something is put in place soon to fill the gap there. I just love having a squad defending the city in Ejod and stopping "zerg" after "zerg" with the arty. I like how it can help a good squad push off infantry. Also it is a great incentive to have a CO because e.g. on Ejod you WILL lose without a co just because of the arty.

    Based on 0.6:

Qwai River (3 LB 's, well balanced)
Assault on Mestia (great map, a little overweight for the Brits though)
Al Basrah (destroyable village, apache, civs,... gotta love it all)
Bi Ming (yeah that 's right , great change between all the day maps, love sneaking around knifing/headshotting people )

Actually I like most of the maps, they all offer their own gameplay and as long as there 's good teamwork, they are all fun to play.

Al Basrah all the way in 0.6 I just love the warrior and its power.

In 0.5 i like the mission with the mountains where u have to blow up the gate into the valley. I dont remember what it is though lol. I think its Hills Of Hamyong.

.6 is definatly Basra although Qwai and Kashan are also a lot of fun.

I'm really disapointed that they are going to remove steel thunder. Had a lot of good games on that map.

Least favorite map, Muttra .5. Horribly balanced and I don't think I've ever played a game where the US won.

Qwai River, EJOD Desert, and Ghost Train have to be me favorite based on the equal gameplay.

Within Tactical Gamer, ANY activity that capitalizes on the limitations of a game to provide the advantage rather than that advantage coming from superior teamwork, strategy and tactics, is frowned upon. We all want to win when we play, but the focus at Tactical Gamer should be one of winning with some sort of dignity, honor, and skill, not because you were able to out-exploit the other team or box them into a corner built on technological weakness that gives you the advantage.

    I'll second that for V0.5!

Had loads of good fights for West City on EJOD and South Bridge on Ghost Train during PW Nights.

Each map stands or falls by the teamwork and communication within your squad.

Inishall forest, ghost train and Qwai river, because the jungle cover and great flanking opportunities.

Ejod and Basrah, just great experiences

I don't know that map is my favorite (helpful I know) but I know that I positively hate the opium fields map. I don't know the name of it offhand but it is insurgents vs British I believe and half the map is covered in poppy. I have yet to play a match on that map that didn't seem like work.

Takes a good squad on that map. Group with warehouse if you see him on that map, he has a good strategy and even though its a pretty barren map he knows where a squad can hold a line to leverage an advantage over the entire map.

In the main I agree, its usually chaos, not my fav map

Im wondering what other maps with be dropped in 0.6 now, I cant think any that are terrible unless its ones not on our server list maybe. Steel I like but I see their viewpoint, not sure what other maps would fail the bar

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.

Mine is Qwai River for the following reasons...

    1. NO JETS!!.
    2. Commanders wet dream(Arty).
    3. Beautiful map and well designed.
    4. Not one sided. Chinese has tanks and Artys and Americans have TOW's and little birds.
    5. One flag....ESTATE. Probably my favorite flag to assault and defend.
You make me unhappy Dirtboy, I just can't fathom why people in this community hate jets with such passion. They are wonderful assets, you just have to have a leash for them (They need a mic, and a CO to be effective). A jet is on par with Arty in the right hands. Qwai is fun, but not the best.

Mine WAS Muttra, for the lack of planes on TG ( D: ) Muttra was the best fun I could have.

I predict that TG will remove Kashan from the .6 rotation after a while. Simply because some of the ranking people will get bored on a non-urban map.

SIDENOTE: You can't win Muttra the way the pubbies play... Multiple insertions done with withering fire from the side pods. Pshh, you have to do it with tactical distribution of force. (If we run fast, they can't catch us all!).
BF3 is a good game, and when they finish it, it may even be a great game.
