Yes, and this is very important information to share.

I often find myself saying "Commander, this is Squad 2. If we leave this CP now, we will lose it immediately. Do you still want us to move out on attack?"

You have to keep in mind that in PR and POE, the CO is much more blind than they were in vanilla BF2. They really need you to provide solid information.
