That is strange. Have you tried adding another torrent from another site to see if it's just something that's occurring with just the TG tracker or something that's just being flakey at this moment in time for all torrents from your location?

I can max out my DL with other torrents. Might be a routing issue.

Torrents are the most secure, error checking wise of download options.

However, if you simply cannot get torrents to run, then use this direct link (don't be lazy, use it where you can use torrents and then come and complain the files came down corrupt for you though!)

i have been seeding for about the last hour. Ive had an average download speed of around 624kbs. Upload speed around 25kbs. Seems to work pretty good.

you see, i started the down load at around 12:00 and i checked on it around 1 and it was only 1.2 percent done with a rate of 11 kbs. So i went to filecloud and i am downloading it the old way at 177 kbs. so i am much happier with the old way.

I just got home and started the download myself with Azureus and I'm getting around 400kB/sec. It's picking up speed too as I connect with more peers.

EDIT:

I leveled off at ~650 kB/sec and I'm connected to 5/6 seeds and 15/17 peers. Not too shabby at all. ETA of 40 minutes for complete download.

The direct download link is for TG Supporting Members only. Someone else posted a URL or two in here though where you can grab it if you have configuration/firewall issues with the torrent or if your ISP restricts torrent download speeds.

Just for reference/informational purposes:

Out of the 18 currently connected peers, 10 users have incorrectly configured firewalls and/or NAT settings in their clients. That will have a BIG impact on both upload and download speeds. If you have questions about how your client should be configured, feel free to post in this thread and I'm sure there's someone here that can provide some input on the various clients and proper configuration. Make sure you post what client you are using as well as the version.

I had speeds around 800 KB/s when I first started but when I got to 50% I started seeding as fast as my connection could go which turned out to be a measly 50KB/s up... And uploaded abuot 3.15 gb but now no one will connect to me. So I dunno.
Edit: I read apophis' post and Utorrent v1.61 does say that my firewall is incorrectly configured and my ports are not forwarded, but I have no firewall up right now and I am sure my ports are all in order. What gives? That message was up throughout the time I downloaded and uploaded but it didn't effect the upload until now, as I can't connect to any peers.

I am unfamiliar with uTorrent specifically. But do you have any sort of hardware firewall/router on your network in front of your PC? You can have your software firewall down, but if your hardware router/firewall is performing NAT you will need to open ports up on the router and forward them to the IP address assigned to your PC.

Well. It took 1 hour and 1 minute to download the whole thing as a torrent. Not bad at all. At some points I was getting ~800 kB/sec which was quite impressive.

My client is now seeding and will continue seeding throughout the night. At home I'm configured to only seed to 5 peers at a time. I'd prefer to give 5 people a huge chunk of bandwidth than 100 people 1kb/sec. Hopefully they'll continue to seed the torrent themselves.

Specifics: I used Azureus 2.5x and forwarded the appropriate ports to my PC through my hardware firewall. All worked well. ISP is Cox Broadband.

Utorrent has a wonderful guide in their help section that covers most of the retail router/firewall systems along with dsl/cable modems to properly configure for maximum speed's with their app.

ya sure no problem, filecloud is how i downloaded the last two beta's. I am sitting at 1 hour left until completion. This time i probably should have waited for utorrnt to pick up because my total DL time is over 7 hours lol. but thats just my luck lol!
