Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
I can see how some guys would say this isnt an infantry map. But my god, we just had a nailbiter which ended about an hour ago that was some crazy stuff. After getting smacked around by the MEC team for most the round, the US somehow infiltrated the North Bunker and held it for the last 100 tickets thru several waves of MEC players trying to get it back. Id finally been blown off my Support kit guarding the back stairs and had made it back up with four tickets left to snap a quick pic of the carnage that was left over... It was pretty surreal, check it out:

Taking or defending the bunkers when you're infantry is a blast. Getting camped by armor when you're in the open isn't.
Depending on your team, Kashan can be a fun or two hours of hell. Last night my team (the Americans) got pushed back to our main base early in the round. That made me wish there was a 'surrender" button just so we didn't have to grind through hundreds of tickets for a forgone conclusion.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
i will say this, and it pretty much sums up the 64 version. there really shouldn't be a kashan 64 as it is just hours of boredom while the jets control everything. you can't move any vehicle without the tankbusters raping them. you cant even move the little bird, because the frogfoot kills them (which is rediculous... since when do tankbusters shoot at helicopters IRL????). it just becomes a boring game of dying many times while one team or the other has all the good pilots in the sky raping everyone else. it's a stalemate and the jets are rediculously overpowering. until the tanks, at the least, come with chaff flares to counter the laser guided missile/bomb on the tankbusters, can't we leave this map off?
p.s. - if the jets aren't killing every vehicle on the map, then that means most of the team is waiting at the air strip because flying is sooooo much fun, omigosh!

I whould like to see the 32 player version modivied so the chopper can spawn at the start and maybe add a few more transport choppers for both sides.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
I think this sums up the infantry play quite nicely. I'd imagine most people who are having fun playing infantry are in the central bunkers area. Lots of places to get behind cover and avoid tanks and air.
Yep, that would be a very nice feature. I think your only choice right now would be to start a vote for a new map???Depending on your team, Kashan can be a fun or two hours of hell. Last night my team (the Americans) got pushed back to our main base early in the round. Personally, I avoid this map even if it means leaving our most excellent TG server.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
I have a question for 64 Kashan
Tonight I just figured out you can destroy the runway (it can be repaired with a shovel) so can it be allowed for jets to attempt to destroy it as long as there isn't any vehicles such as airplanes on the runway? Or would it just be too hard to make sure nobody gets killed by the jet/a newly spawned jet gets destroyed?
(Found this out with a local server and randomly shooting things with the A-10 LOL)
Damnit Blizzard, fix ZvT already >.<

I think it would be too hard to regulate.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
I used to HATE this map, but its grown on me. Granted when it ends up being a 2 hour slaughterfest its boring as can be (for both sides), but the infantry battles in the bunkers can get pretty amazing, and I love flying the fighter aircraft, and when it ends up being 2v2, mig vs f16 it can get pretty damn fun out there. I think another problem is that Kashan is our only air map. We need to get more air maps in the rotation so us pilots can have some fun!

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
Oh my! What an Epic Map, but it requires tremendous -
Defense!
After the initial capture of N. Village/S. Village, you have to religiously defend the North/South Bunkers simultaneously. Too many times, a squad caps the N. Bunker after the Village has been secured, then leaves it undefended to attempt to cap the S. Bunker before back-up arrives. End result, N. Bunker falls, S. Bunker may or may not become secured.
IMO, you may need 3 full squads for the Bunkers. Sq 1&2 with direct orders to respected Bunkers, Sq 3 will mop up in between the 2 bunkers, searching for enemy RP’s & SL’s. Keep the Rally Points up!
Meanwhile, no squads are at the Village in case the Bunkers fall. You only need a 3-4 man squad to remain at the Village. Be sure to have a Rally and Vodnik/Hummvee to move out to enemy Village when the Bunker compound has been secured.
If the Bunker compound becomes secure enough, Village Sq and Mop-up Sq can head to enemy Village.
When enemy Village becomes secure, Bunker Sq heads to outpost.
Leave the rest to Armor Sq & Heli Sq for transport.
This is just an idea, I’m sure the CO Vets can do much better.

Re: Suggestion: replace Kashan 64 by kashan 32
You do realise that in most cases, in air maps, you get a total of 6-12 players that are actually enjoying the map and 50-56 players that are getting annoyed by the map, right?
Anyway, if Kashan is in rotation it should be in the 32P version only. Although that as of .6 there are many gameplay issues that arent map specific that make both versions play badly. Best option is to just get rid of the map completely.

Lol, you 're kidding right? How many maps would be left on the server then? 4?
Basrah gone, Desert Storm gone, Hills of Hamgyon gone, Hellmand gone, ... can't even remember the names of all the other maps that have been removed... not to mention the maps that were removed by the devs.
I 'm so sick of playing the same 4 maps over and over, I really don't wanna see another map go, I 'd rather deal with those minor issues. PR has made great progress gameplay wise, unfortunately you can't say the same about the maps.
