Nah. We lost 10 - 0. Pretty damn close round.

I just realized right now that that's the US side from the game at the end of PW night last night. I got on for the end of that (last 100 tix on our side [China] or so) and that was quite a good game. And reminded me that I really should work on my medic skillz with pubbies. If I wasn't such a bad medic, we'd have had a few more tix.

Commanded a round on Operation Baracuda, so naturally I had to use the UAV, to good effect.





Why did we use the jdam on airstrip?

First, we needed to cap it and we were taking heavy losses trying to cap it the old fashion way via boots on the ground.

It was 5 minutes until we had our 'Area Attack' and so squad 5 (At the time) requested the use of the jdam in that 5 minutes. So I said, "ok" and hatched up a plan, that all squads should pull back and wait for the jdam to fall in. So they did this and waited patiently. Before this, we hatched a plan to cap their main base, which failed miserably, as they were waiting for us.

My UAV came available for a date and so I asked if we could go to 'Airstrip' and she agreed. By this time 'Area Attack' was available. Fulk (SL5) called it in, and I literally saw the detonation when it came in and body's went flying and we killed the firebase and AA they had at airstrip, we had killed the main force at 'Airstrip'. There were still some enemy infantry inside the building of 'Airstrip', this is when we called in CAS due to enemy AA not being up anymore, and I believe they finished most if not all the infantry inside the building off.

We won I think like 77-0. Was a great game. I thoroughly enjoyed commanding and love the new UAV system. However the spotting system (60 seconds per marker/spot) sucks ass and I still believe soley becuase of this, we should not have updated to BF2 v1.5, but ok... we have so... we will have to live with it.



Here's another round I commanded on Muttrah, we managed to totally cap out the MEC, to eagles nest. Though I have to say, Olliefools infantry squad did an amazing job in terms of moving around the city. E.g. they took the initiative. Coordination with the apc squad was pretty cool as well (Viking) and we managed to get some pretty good support/transport from him.

Some great games tonight!

We had a game on Jabal Al Burj and lost by just 4 tickets!



I believe a Huey crashed just before the game ended.

^ - this was just before Lion tk'ed me. I thought he was going to test to see if he could shoot through the tin walls and get Nerdy, but instead he somehow managed to shoot me through the walls. Was a great game, we managed to cap the other team out and had a lot of fun with Ollie, JBX, AlmightyLion, NerdyDodge and Sandiford. Rudd was also a great sport and I think he also secretly shot me through the tin walls as well. lol

^ - Me and Ollie were in the BTR killing loads of infantry around hill [insert number] with friendlies trying to cap the flag, which kind'a failed as they were being rushed by huge numbers of troops. Due to the rough terrain and tree's we managed to get tracked, which we thought was BS. But a fun, short game nevertheless.

We only loss one apc and even that apc didn't fully die after like 20 minutes, when someone put an incendiary on it.

Oh yeah, that was us in the tank. But we only lost 1 BTR! Then we went tanking!

It was really like a dev's/pubs vs tg players. Was pretty epic and the other team, really did make it hard on us. :arrow: :razz:

^ - Was a really fun game... We managed to win somehow! I thought we were personally going to lose, but it was a lot of fun and I haven't had so much in a game before. Thank you for the game everyone! I managed to end the game by shooting their cobra out of the sky. Cheers to Fuzzhead and his squad for teamkilling me. Nah, I'm kidding, it was just Katarn. Haha. Okay, seriously. - Fuzzhead did an amazing job transporting troops around the city and because of this, we managed to regain a sense of coordination and started raking our poor KDR's to appropriate levels.

Previous round on Op Baracuda: (64 - AAS 3)

The previous round was Operation Baracuda, where we just won. I played as commander and I thought it went 'okay', but it wasn't the best game I've commanded personally! Managed to get all the squads coordinated and with fuzzhead in the attack huey it was pretty cool, calling CAS in.

^ - This is me and AnimalMother in the apache. We managed to shoot down 3 havocs and he killed like 3 bmps, infantry and a tank... several fb's too. Personally I didn't think I was a very good pilot, but we managed to do our job pretty well and only really loss 2 apaches and one of the deaths was toward us and a havoc engaging each other... where we actually killed each other with aa missiles - I find the trick is to fire BOTH aa's in one go, when you get the lock or buzz tone. It works. It was a damn fun game and I'm glad AnimalMother didn't get pissed off with my flying abilities. He said I was pretty good, but I do need to practise holding that chopper still high in the sky. ops:

Screeny taken about 10 minutes before that muttrah round ended. That 3 point defence was very nice as each squad could support eachother with a crossfire. We also juggled a HAT around the rooftops in order to get a shot on the APCs. Very good game that was.
