Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
it's far too small of a map, it was made for 16 people, not 62.

Damnit Blizzard, fix ZvT already >.<

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
I would be happy with any map that is infantry only. The tactics change because of the weapon systems, and I think it would be great to try any map as infantry only.

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
some of the 16 player maps i think would play nicely with 40-50 players...
maps that would NOT play nicely:
street
helmand
op pheonix

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
That would be awesome, they will lick our boots yet captain. The APC's should be manned, that's true.
And please no low player number maps, let's get a huge map and let's watch that infantry march

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
A bump since I still don't think we've done a smaller map, close quarters, infantry goodness day.
And no, running just insurgency maps does not count.

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
Unless you want to make it so when you spawn you kill a guy cause you spawn in him than an IO day isn't really that great for your description. Phoenix would be good but street = people hating whoever thought up the idea to even make that map. Let alone the person who decided to include it in the map cycle.

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
Nowhere in the title does it say infantry only although in past messages I've admitted it wasn't the best choice of words. I'm talking about any map where infantry is the focus and the map isn't basically decided by who wins the armor war. We're talking CQ infantry combat goodness...you know, the kind of maps Fuzz would probably beat me on the head for wanting to tie up the TG server an entire day for.

Maps like:
Street (only to get the server started)
Operation Ghost Town
Mestia
Phoenix
Sunset City
Al Basrah
Bi Ming (if it is playable)
To a Lesser Extent:
Helmand (unbalanced IMO)
Hills of Hamgyong (unbalanced)
Qwai (I like it but it is usually a loooong round i.e. too many tickets)
Jabal (also a very long round)
Road to Kyongan'Ni
And no way in hell:
7 Gates
Al Kufrah
Kashan
EJOD
Daqing Oilfields
Gulf of Oman
Zatar Wetlands
That's my take on it.

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
Yeah, those are some pretty good maps to use. But the Road to Kyongan'Ni should be in the "And no way in hell" section :P
I'd really like to try out Bi Ming, it would be pretty awesome to play it on a full server. Although many people hate night maps others would take their places anyways so it would be all good

Re: Is there interest in an infantry day?
Bi Ming is a medics worst nightmare. You literally cannot see people to revive them. It's also TK hell. Oh, and it's buggy. If we never play that map on the server, I'll be a happy camper.
