Re: Sigs?
Looks good you guys.
Sonic, is that orb floating next to his head the light source?
The light looks like it's more coming from off the sig than anything.

Re: Sigs?
Yeah that's what I mean, same render, sans the templar. How are they too big, gives the theatrical look, and still keeps the subject in frame.
I mean, this looks ok, but pretty unoriginal no? I'm seeing the same "put a really absract design behind the subject, and it's done", unless this was just a resized pic, with Havok typed onto it? This is constructive criticism from me, not destructive
.
Same with this one, abstract design behind subject

Again, I'm not knocking anyone, just this trend that's been going on for years, is boring.

Re: Sigs?
1. Its not a resized pic, its all original
2. This has come up a lot and as I have said before, styles change...
3. Making a sig like this takes practise and a certain amount of skill.
Make one as an example to show me what you see as original, it will help me understand a bit more what you would like to see.
But, really, what else can I do with these kinds of renders...

Re: Sigs?
Hmmm... if ever any of you guys want to give me a "tutorial" of how to make those kind of sigs, that'd be awesome. (btw I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0)
And that sig looks good Oldirti.

Re: Sigs?
Get on TS later and I'll give you a tutorial.
I've got 7.0, you can't get as many perks as CS3 but it works.

Re: Sigs?
Anyone know how to convert an image from 16 bit per channel to 8 bit so I can try to move a render into a layer? Below is what the error message says...
Error Message: Could not use the move tool because it does not work with 16 bit per channel images (convert image to 8 bit per channel to edit).

Re: Sigs?
It didn't work out as havok's photoshop was being stupid.
