Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
the last thing I'm saying about this... I'd say my odds have been 1 out of 3, a successful mission load:
BTW GRAW2 for the PC still locks up, more like 1 out of 10 times, better odds, but you think either will ever be addressed? NOT! ![]() |

Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
Magnum playing Hellgate? That is shocking. Hellgate is much smoother now then released.
Most buggy launches are due to the publisher rushing the game (like Frontlines), but that's the market we live in now. Strict deadlines lead to the testing and integration being shortend. |

I don't know how many times the estimated release date got pushed back, but that, IMO, is the way to do things.

Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
R6 LV was actually a decent game and ran very well even on my outdated machine. It's still a glorified SWAT team game compared to how the R6 games used to be, but it's a lot better then some offerings out there these days.

Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
I think the last buggy game I got was Hellgate London and that was/is being fixed.
I think I am going to skip this. I was burned by Vegas 1 and GRAW PC. This thread is not making me hopeful for BIA:HH and Far Cry 2. It's sad when EA puts more effort into their games then you. Edit: As for Ground Breach BFS should look into Stardock as their publisher.

Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
I got the game of Steam yesterday and had no problems at all. All my graphics are set to the highest.
I'm enjoying the game, spent all last night doing some co-op Terrorist Hunts on realistic with High enemy density. Very, very hard. |

Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
FINALLY... trial and error has seemed to paid off, even thou I still shouldn't have to go through this...
I had to turn off AA to get the graphics right, but then the zaggies looked terrible, so played at my desktop resolution, 1600x1200x32, and too my surprise it not only looks great, but I was getting 75 fps strait...now thats SWEET! but then the occasional lock ups, found out it was my Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, thou I wasn't using it in game, it was still connectted... for some reason when I unplugged it (daughter wanted to use it), no crashes or lock ups... We are good to go here... except for the fact that I played the hell out of the Xbox 360 version...so it is already getting boring, but some online co-op or TH is in order. ![]() |

Re: UbiSoft...we have a problem...again...
Mag, buddy oh pal.
Do me a favor and test something for me. Go into your video card control panel (in windows) and set everything referencing "antialiasing" to ' Application Controlled '. Save and exit. Now go back into the game and try again to use whatever resolution/anti aliasing setting you'd like. Let me know if the original problems you reported persist.

I just see these type of posts all the time on public game forums with people being overly dramatic about their issues and kind of feel bad for the developer having to read through all this hate. This is a great game and the PC port is much easier to play (controls), looks better, and has the possibility of free user created content down the road. All while being $10 cheaper and not having to pay subscription fees for xbox live. Just sayin.
