Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
I picked up Vegas 2 at Target for $13. I have Vegas arriving in the mail from Goozex in the next few days. Should I play Vegas 1 first? Are they a continuation of a common plot?
Also, since I've never played, I might need some time to get used to it before I jump into Coop. (I don't want to get anyone killed.

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
I bought V1 when it came out, but I couldn't play it due to my computer being a P.O.S.
After a while, I bought myself a spanking new computer, but by the time this happened, V2 came out. So I just played V2 right off the back.
V1 looked as if it sucked anyways!

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
I ended up purchasing another retail version of the game, I wanted to play it bad and my house is a mess now from me searching through every inch of it for that blasted CD.
Anyways, maybe we could start a R6V2 thing going on!

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Sounds great. I haven't actually played R6V2 online yet, but if there were some TG'ers I'd come and join in the fun!

That would be great. I would give a date/time but I'm all tied up with the Insurgency Worlds Series and TGU classes.

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
I got it on Steam for 10$ and play it sometimes.
But I haven't been able to log in for 6 days now and I'm losing my mind.
Every time I try, I just get this message: "The operation has been canceled because it took too much time."
Am I the only one? If so, do you have any ideas on how to fix it? I've tried reinstalling, opening the ports, I made a new ubi account. No difference.
*Update: I uninstalled BitDefender and installed NOD32 instead, which found some kind of virus in the R6V2 exe. I deleted/quarantined it and now Vegas2 is updating in Steam. Let's hope that fixes it.
*Update2: Nope, didn't work. Steam just said "this game is unavailable". I hate Ubisoft.Last edited by Hunter; 05-14-2009 at 05:05 PM.

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Try deleting the downloaded game and reinstalling for starters.
Check that you have the latest graphics drivers and if possible add an exception to Windows Firewall (if you have it on) for R6V2.
As for a game, I'm sorta free Tuesdays around noon and play it regularly on the weekends. If you guys can set a date and time, I'll come and join in.

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Yup, I tried that, no difference. I also opened more ports, I messed around with different settings (both in game and on my router) and I even tried making a new ubi account. Nothing changed.
One weird thing I did notice is that if I tried to enable UPnP in game I got a message: "No UPnP compatible router found", even though my router has a UPnP setting that can be turned on and off.
Anyway, I've formatted my computer now and set up Vista instead of XP (which I've been meaning to do for a while now). I'll download the game on Steam again in the next days and see if the problem is gone.Last edited by Hunter; 05-16-2009 at 02:37 PM.
