Well, had my first experience playing with TG'ers on a populated server. Someone said over TS as Königsplatz was loading "what side should we play?" and I suggested Axis to see what defense was like in a quasi-organized fashion.

To describe what happened next, we pretty much crushed the Russian forces trying break out.

It appeared to me that we had something similar to parallel lines on defense, even though we really didn't discuss what our layout would be. If the Russians were able to breach the 1st parallel, infantry in the 2nd parallel quickly gobbled them up. Every now and then a T-34 would try and thrust deep into our lines by itself, but NCMan had a Panzerfaust and I was a sapper with a satchel charge, and whoever was in our tank stayed back to provide suppressive fire, so those T-34s didn't stand a chance.

It was the first time I've played where the text at the bottom of the screen was alive with "The teams are unbalanced!!!" being typed over and over again.

I still couldn't keep track of the TG folks, but we really took care of business and I'm really looking forward to what this game will have in store when it's 32 TG kids [at heart] hammering away at each other...
