Talking Quick Question on picking up weapons

How do you pick up a weapon that is laying on the ground?

And does anyone have a Belkin/Norstom game pad setup that you are willing to share? I haven't had time to set one up yet.

First, you must discard your existing primary weapon. Then, you must get close to the desired weapon and press your USE key. You can pick up extra magazines, stripper clips, and grenades as well.

Re: Quick Question on picking up weapons

Some weapons are classified as secondary and you can pick them up without dropping your primary weapon. The Panzerfaust for example.

it's a total PITA. you have to get really close, like you are nearsighted and blind, heh, and use the "use" key to pick up all the crizzap individually.

Re: Quick Question on picking up weapons

Make sure you have a key bound to "throw weapon" in you configuration, and drop your existing weapon -- preferably away from the other weapon you want to pick up (it's a bit tricky to pick up the correct one when they're right on top of each other) Just use the use key while you're facing the new weapon and the screen says "Pick up XXXXX"

Be sure to grab all of the scattered ammo as well -- the dropped weapons are empty of extra clips.

I agree about it being a real PITA, though. 90% of the time I get killed while I'm fumbling to pick up weapons on the ground in this game.

Re: Quick Question on picking up weapons

Yeah, I wish the picking up a weapon automatically dropped the one you're holding.
