I just got done playing 4-6 rounds as allies on Berezina. Whew that map is a pita for allies. We held 2 then lost 4 as our team fell apart I think.
Without good coordination on allied side it really is a steamroller'n Blitzkrieg with allies running out of armor and reenforcements. It's really important for the allied team to call enemy positions (especially armor) so that allied tankers can get into position without getting blindsided over and over.
There are some spawn camping issues and other things that need to be fixed before I'd call it a good map.
I had fun but it was very very frustrating too.

I have this, but have been quite disappointed with it. I'd be interested in getting together with a bunch of TG folks some weekend, though!

Re: How many TGer's have this?
I have this too. I really like it. I think the game suffered from not having the comms structure that BF2 does. That made it more of an effort, and not so naturally intuituve to reach to a level of strong teamwork. Ultimately it was this that led people to get frustrated and fed up.
Shame tho, because in the early days there were some absolutely cracking fights. I still remember so vividly Santa, Apophis, Xeil and I trying to creep up to a well defended church, and spending half the game pinned down looking for a way to sneak through their defensive zone. We finally worked our way to the top, launched an ambitious assault into the building, and held it for all of 3 minutes until a counter assault pushed us right back out again! What a game!

Re: How many TGer's have this?
The don't get the "poor voice structure" argument against this game.
I played DoD for years and could often get some type of team work going with total strangers using a Team mic, still do so with Natural Selection...all with the old school VOIP structure. The need for a complex VOIP structure isn't as strong since the maps and player numbers are smaller. That and I find half the time I play BF2 there's no Comm and the squads are working together through Smarts on the squad map and text chat anyway, and with local voice like RO uses you can relay messages to those nearest you anyways.
Don't be afraid of a little streamlined simplicity Let's shoot some rifles at each other!

Re: How many TGer's have this?
You want to know what I thought the biggest problem with this game was? Respawns. A team would totally loose coordination because people would have to spawn back in miles away from thier squad.

Re: How many TGer's have this?
I still play this regularly. So is it a definite 'no dice' here at TG ?

Re: How many TGer's have this?
Yeah, it just didn't catch on. Seems like the realism buffs like modern-day settings more and the average TGer didn't like RO's brutal realism.

Re: How many TGer's have this?
It wasn't the realism, it was the horrible game. The unnatural control, the horrible comm (although an interesting concept), and the mediocre graphics.
There just wasn't any immersion for me, and that's a big part of what makes gaming fun.

Re: How many TGer's have this?
It is the old Unreal 2 engine so the GFX wont be high end like COD3's is on the 360.Although they have the lisc to build RO on unreal 3 engine when its released.

Re: How many TGer's have this?
I really liked the controls tbh. I also really liked how the terrain was more interactable. Nothing within the BF series annoyed me more than having windows that you couldn't shoot from in a kneeling position (but your head was still visible).
I do agree that the poor graphics turned a lot of people off.
