Screenshots
All,
From looking over the lastest posts on the official RO forums it looks like approval has been granted to post screen shots from the beta.
So, what say we get some screenshots tonight when playing to post them for the 'unchosen'?
EDIT: Link to official post is available here.Last edited by Strag; 03-09-2006 at 04:53 PM.

Re: Screenshots
Excellent idea. I have bible study till around 23:00 EST but I'll be on then if anyone is still awake.
I wonder if demo recording is available in the demo as well, might be able to record one then take screenshots off that. Might make it easier than trying to remember to hit F9 in the heat of battle.

Re: Screenshots
sorry!
Let's just say that under options, you can adjust the "Gore" setting... and on "Full Gore" mode, I've seen things I've never seen before in a video game!
(combine that with what Coridon hinted at in this post, and you should be able to connect the dots... )

What ever you do don't stand in front of a tank. You will disintegrate if he fires over you.

A message pop's up "Your weapon has been shot from your hands". I look at my little human-silhouette thing that indicates your health, and I see both hands are dark red. I look down and see my gun. I hit the 'Z' key ("use") to pick it up, but nothing... the guy just standing there looking at me like "what are you gonna do now?". I was SOOOOO angry - the ****er shot my hands off and there was nothing I could do about it!!!
After about 30 seconds, my hands healed (I guess?) and I could "switch to grenades"... so I did.
A few seconds later, there were virtual body parts everywhere.

Re: Screenshots
rofl, I remember in Starsiege: Tribes if I wanted to screw with someone who was standing on a ledge I would snipe their gun from their hands from like 900 meters off. They would have no idea what happened and they couldn't go get their gun because it was too far down

Re: Screenshots
Some guy did that to me the other night. After he shot up my hands he then started at the feet and worked his way up. My figure was all red except the head and he walked off. Caught him doing the same thing to someone else. Well he did it no more, one nade and they were both gone.

Whoah! Looks like the time I held on to my grenade a smidge too long before tossing it!! A hideous nubbin where my arm used to be...
Hey, since we're free to post, you think we can throw up the manual at this point??|TG-1stMIP|Coridon

Re: Screenshots
The sniper rifle scope looks a lil odd. I thought if you're looking down a scope, youd close one eye so that your vision is focused, and youd lose the rest of your awareness because you dont have peripheral vision.

Re: Screenshots
Nope, that's the way the sniper scope works. It's nice because you can stay zoomed in and still acquire targets with your other eye. It's what you're supposed to do with any scoped weapon...keep both eyes open...
