I have pubbed it. I jump on our server now and then only to see the bots. Kind of like playing when Trooper is on.

Those 64 players became very few awful quick. I think it is due to the fact that the game is 1. Not the least bit arcadey, and 2. has a bit of a learning curve. It basically appeals to members of the 2nd and the 42nd.
Hey, now, there is an idea.....

I like the thinking. And Bubba has already told us that the best way to practice against the 2nd is to play against bots. (or was that the best way to start a challenge is to start the smacktalk
Well I hereby pledge to play RO every wednesday night for at least the next month. It's clear there is a following, so let's all try to gather forces for at least one day of the week.
In fact Bubba, do you guys want a 2nd vs 42nd RO scrim sometime soon?

Our group is playing on the pubs, we've dropped into the empty TG servers a couple of times but nobody shows up so we head to the fuller pubs out there.
It is a game that attracts a more mature gamer and with the learning curve you need to give it a few hours of play to really begin to enjoy it, I get a feeling some have played a map or two and not bothered to return.

Honestly, I'm surprised the 42nd didn't take to this game from the start. Although, the 1st MIP tried it but couldn't make it work for them, so maybe it's just not appropriate material for in-house squads. Seems hard to believe at TG, but that has definitely been the case so far.

It's not just the 42nd. It's part of a larger trend. The games we should be playing (Ghost Recon, OFP, SWAT4, Falcon 4.0, etc.) lie dormant 90% of the time, where BF2, and CS:S have full or near full servers every night. Originally Posted by Strag
I'm not saying we don't play those games tactically, I'm saying that there is nothing inherent in those titles that imposes a penalty on the player if you do not play tactically. These other titles do.
It is a conundrum.

Completely agreed. We have a small, yet solid, group of folks who regularly rotate between these games at TG, and these sessions make for pure gaming bliss. It really is a conundrum that more people here don't join in with us. Originally Posted by TG_Mateo

I like RO and will try to play on Wednesday nights. I get on around 7:30-8:00 pm CDT. If this doesn't work then we should take if off the server and put another bf2 server on.

Things here died, literally. When people did not post for days on end... and every time i checked the server it was empty, it got boring. Not many people are posting here much... idk why.
