    Yeah, finding some quick cover while reading the map can help. Even if you just go prone, it's better than nothing. Although, after playing each level several times now, I've found the map to be much less necessary.

    Yeah, the basic orientation of each map sets in pretty quickly -- but those first few days are certainly a bitch!

    Once the maps have been learnt and everyone knows the routes it will become easier. However, it's not really that difficult to navigate around. Don't stand in the open looking at a map, find cover first. Run your own server and walk the map a few times to get an idea for them. They aren't that big so you should get used to them quite quickly.
