Re: Released!
I verified my Steam cache serveral times but can't get the donwload started. It says the preload is done and I can play when the game is released. However if I try to play it asks me for a CD key which I don't have since I ordered direct from Steam?!
Edit - I had to kill Steam and restart it to get the verification to take and the download to start.

Re: Released!
Tell that to all the people who waited until the last minute to preload. I mean, what's the point? It just clogs up the servers for everyone.

Re: Released!
I didn't do it!
Ok, maybe I did. I thought maybe I would resist for a week or two, but then this morning I cracked.
But man... why can't they make it download the whole thing? I thought I was going to get to play.
I'm getting 100 KB/s tho.... maybe it's a different server or something?Peace through fear... since 1947!

Re: Released!
I was getting about 120 KB/s. Now I'm getting a Steam error telling me the game is not available.

Re: Released!
Sorry - it seems we are beating Valve's servers to death today.
The "verify" thing is annoying - some encryption problem at Valve (apparently). We'll ensure that doesn't happen again.Alan Wilson

Re: Released!
Thanks that helped. With the amount of people having this problem, I suggest this get stickied in the tech support section.

Re: Released!
They did and it does. However the game is still unavailable to me. Jeez, it's worse than being a kid on Christmas morning.....
