System Re-boot On Launch Of Game?!

    OK.

Im super duper pissed about this!

I just spent what little money shave I have this game cos it looked so tempting!

After I downloaded it I launched the game through my Steam application and it re-booted my system!?

Once I had re-started my system, Windows kindley informed me that a "SERIOUS ERROR" had occured!

I do have ZoneAlarm running, the latest version I think, but I really dont want to turn that off!

    HOW can I solve this?

I do have a list of 2 files that Windows said caused the errors, but they are at home on my PC, so ill post them up here tonight.

    HELP? PLEASE?!

Welcome to the TG forums, GAV_A_TRON!

Allow me to direct you to an extensive discussion, including remedies, of this issue at the Official Red Orchestra forums. I think the solution(s) presented there will likely resolve your issue.

    Doubtful...

We've got a few threads about this issue here at TG, too:

    http://www.tacticalgamer.com/red-orc...sh-launch.html

Without knowing a bit more about your problem, it's not likely that we'd be able to tell you what's wrong. Read a few of these threads and you'll see that there are several common problems and that you're most likely suffering from one or more of them.

Oh, yes, and welcome to TG, Gav-a-tron!

One of those links that Cing has posted above should take you to one of the threads on the RO forums that gives a fix for using ZoneAlarm (free version) and RO. Here is the link if you can't find it buried in those links Cing listed: http://www.redorchestragame.com/foru...ight=zonealarm .

I was having the same problem with my free version of ZoneAlarm and RO, and that info at that link fixed it, so I think you'd have a good shot of resolving it also. Hope that helps, gav_a_tron.

I certainly wish that I could say the same thing.
