Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
I'll most likely get the game, but will not pay any sort of subscription fee for it.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
I'm less concerned about the money and more about what I would be getting for my money. If the extra $10 enhances my playing experience than it's worth the cost above paying for the game. We shall see.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
If you are pre-ordering for the dye kit, I want to urge you not to order from EA.com. They don't seem to have their act together, and although my pre-order has been confirmed, I have not received my pre-order code or anything else related to it. I have a ticket into EA's customer service that I had to submit under the Harry Potter game heading because Hellgate is not listed in their customer service menu.
I know we all complain about EA from time to time, but this company continually misses the finer points of how things should work.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
I don't think I will buy anything off EA Link/EA Store. They charged me twice for the Northern Strike booster pack and when I sent a ticket I got absolutely no response (I did get a survey for "Rate our service" which I found ironic).
Although I really like not having to use DVDs. If only it came out on Steam...

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
Check the site again, Gloopy. You should now have your code and be able to pre-download the game.
I agree with you about EA and sent in a similar e-mail, but at least they finally corrected the problem. Somewhat....
EDIT: After all that, the link to add the pre-order code to your account has been taken down for a bit. So even though we now have it, we can't use it. Sometimes you just have to chuckle and shake your head at the irony of it all.Last edited by Nemesis; 10-24-2007 at 02:27 PM.
It's all in the Reflexes.

Why do all this for some different colours?

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
Well, all the pre-order boxes come with a different dye job as part of the promotion. There are pictures up of all the dye jobs and which companies they may be purchased from. The two I liked the most were EA's Wasp (Blues and Gold) and Wal-Mart's Royal (Purple and Silver). Since you get the dye job anyway, might as well get one you like, so I wanted to order from wal-mart or EA. Personally I don't like wal-mart, and the idea of having to go to a store to pre-order this and deal with the usual sales staff makes me shudder. So I ordered from EA, figuring they have a digital distribution method already in place and it worked for Northern Strike. I didn't realize how much trouble it would be, and how unlikely EA was to not document anything, but I should have. In any case I suspect it's started to be resolved. I just hope this doesn't shut me out of the founder's club offer.
I didn't know man, you gotta believe me!

Hmm, the wasp looks sexy, although I find no mention anywhere of where you preorder to get it, I hate EA Link but I might have to preorder it just cause I hate DVDs.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
If there will be a TG clan/guild I'm in. I have been involved since the alpha was distro'd for testing back in July/early Aug timeframe.
I expect to be getting the lifetime as well, so if there is any need for help with the guild/clan setup or organization I am willing to help.
One question, is everyone going to use Xfire to communicate or teamspeak?Last edited by Photometric; 10-24-2007 at 10:53 PM.

I'll probably keep with teamspeak, since it's what the rest of us use for other games.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
If you've ordered online from ea.com and are sick of the lack of answers on the forums or their official help menus, here:
EA is elusive, but apparently not all knowing since a few brave soldiers were able to escape with this information.
EA Technical Support: 1-650-628-1005
I cruised around on their voice activated menu for a while, getting more and more frustrated until I hit some buttons on my phone and got a touch tone menu, and then selected account and billing options which gets you a real live outsourced support rep.
Edit: Update, I got my working code- but it was through the ea tech support website, and the ticket I opened. The phone call didn't get me any help even though they promised to call me back.Last edited by Augustus Gloop; 10-25-2007 at 09:03 PM.
