    I'm assuming that is the way it would work. Though if your the single subscriber in a group of non-subscribers and your party comes suddenly upon subscriber content (entrance, monster, etc) would just the subscriber be able too see it and he alone able to access it? Hmmm..this had added new questions....

    I am guessing that subscriber and non-subscriber content would NOT be mixed. You will only encounter subscriber content in subscriber zones which will be closed off to non-subscribers.

    Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.

    This may have been put up already, but here's the official notice on subs:

    Ongoing Content

    We’re always making TONS of new content for our subscribers that extends and changes the way Hellgate: London can be played.

    This includes:

    * New Levels to Explore
    * New Monsters
    * New Weapons
    * New Skills and Spells
    * New Quests and Storyline
    * New Character Classes

    Themed Events and Items

    These are events, areas, monsters, quests, pets and rewards that are available for limited periods of time throughout the year. Some are recurring while others may only happen once, so keep a sharp watch for announcements on upcoming events!

    Hardcore Mode

    Characters have one life, and ONLY one life, to give for the cause. There is no resurrecting your downed hero in Hardcore mode, so different tactics, skills and items rule the day. For the gamer that wants the ultimate test, try playing an Elite Hardcore character!

    Guild Creation and Management

    By purchasing a Guild Herald, a character can form a new guild. Characters can only be part of one guild at a time and should a Guild leader decide to abandon their post, they can pass leadership of the Guild to another subscribing guild member.

    Achievement Rewards

    You’re earning big points for completing long-term goals and insane tasks. Along with the notoriety and sense of accomplishment, there are also rewards to spend those points on!

    PvP Modes and Rewards

    New ways to fight against other players, both alone and in teams. Your reputation in this arena of combat will also net you special commendations and rewards!

    Larger Stash

    Each character gets an extra 6x8 section in their storage locker, making the hording of all sorts of goodies that much easier. Pack rats rejoice!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    As far as whether sub and non sub people can enter the sub content zones, I believe not. I think that they have some nice things for shortly after launch so people get onboard quickly. I expect to do the founder's offer if it's still available. It's a bet that they will be putting out enough content so I'll want to play for 15 months, but I spent over 3 years on City of Heroes.

    Zoopy, in effect, yes. Subscriber content would only be accessable to any subscribers in the group. (That goes for both zones and quests/storyline.) Bascially, once the game is launched what you have is what all non-subscribers get. Nothing more outside of bug fixes until they release an expansion.

    All subscriber armor, weapons and perks can be seen by everyone, however you won't be able to trade subscriber only items to non-subscribers.

    As far as the grouping goes, all non-subscribers in a group wouldn't be able to access the new zones regardless on who's party it was. You'd pretty much be locked out while the subscribers in your group entered the instance.

    Some stores put it out early, or ship it early if you ordered it online. I doubt the servers will be up or the zero day patch.

    Since they've got a potential 150 dollar life time thing on the table, any chance someone can contact them officially for TG and see if its possible to purchase, say 20 of the life time subscriptions at a further reduced cost, 125 or maybe even 100. We'd just need to create a list of individuals who would be willing to go through with it should they accept the offer.

    If you can think of 20 people that would play it here on TG, its worth a shot. Given the nature of subscription based games, a smaller company trying to break into the market might be happy to snag 20 permanent players in one swipe.

    If anyone thinks this is a decent idea, poke apop about it.

    I'm not sure they want to distribute more of the lifetime founder's deals. At 150 they will make money if you don't end up playing for more than 1.25 years, but after that they lose money. That's why they are limiting the offer to 1.25k people. After that no more will be offered.

    Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.

    They wouldn't have to distribute more, unless they've already sold all those copies, which I seriously doubt. Anyway, if someone put a little thought into the delivery, I think the inquiry would generate some consideration on their part. TG is a very attractive community to highlight any game. I don't see why a developer wouldn't want their name/game plastered in here with a dedicated forum, especially if its a fresh company breaking through other established subscription products.

    This probably wouldn't work for game purchases, since they are required to use certain pricing not to undercut any in store retailers who bought wholesale from them, but since they're in whole control of subscription sales (i'm assuming here) they could really do whatever they liked to pricing on individual offers to groups.

    Downloading via EA now

    Man, I'm not feeling very well right now, must been that burrito I had - looks like I'll have to call in sick tommorow and save the London from the demonic horde

    I'll be off and on tomorrow. If you're playing, jump on the TS channel (3rd has one up - thanks) and we can form a party.
