Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
I don't suppose there is going to be any trial period specials like there was/are with WOW. My brother tried to give me some 30 day trial period for WOW but I would much prefer to try this full game out before dropping $60.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
Two questions,
1) Would the new players care to share their experiences with Hellgate: London so far? Although I was a tremendous Diablo 2 fan I'm on the fence with this one. I never got the impression it inherited Blizzard's "special sauce". What do you guys think?
2) Are people on a specific server or is there only one world?

That's certainly the way I look at it. Basically, non-subscribers would eventually be left out in the cold.
Sorry, my $10 a month goes towards Tactical Gamer (I slip an extra dollar into Apophis' panties).

I feel like this isn't comparable with d2 with it's expansion pack yet. BUT I really feel like this has the potential. We'll see where they take it right?

If you haven't been following the website, there's a button up to deal with subscribing, but it has been disabled since their billing code is so buggy it's sending subscription verification to the wrong accounts. Scary!

Sounds like most of the 3rd SFD are going for shulgoth, maybe we can make that the official TG server.

1) This isn't WoW, by any stretch. Its very much more like Diablo, with guns! I'm liking it so far, its alot of fun to play. But don't come to this expecting a world like an MMO. But if your like myself, and don't have a constant work schedule, its a nice compromise that allows you to play online with others if you want, or just solo pound some demon butt when you have an hour or two
2) Theres only 2 servers currently, and North American and European server. Online is very much like Guild Wars, where you only see other players in the stations (towns) When you go out into the "world" its instanced, and if your in a group thats just run between your computers, with minimal interaction with the server.

My thanks to you Daxx and also Snail88 and Augustus. I think I'll go open the Orange Box I purchased and pass on HL for now.

Fun demon slaying last night with Zoopy, Photometric, UltraBlue, (who else?). The grouping really turns up the fun factor on the game. I'll be on this weekend.

I'll finally be getting online tonight, so if anyone wants to play I'll be starting my blademaster. I'm on shulgoth.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
I heard a rumor that subscriptions might be opening tonight. I am still willing to start the TacticalGamer Clan, but I will run it in an extremely relaxed manner, with everyone on here invited SM or no, and everyone having more or less equal powers. If anyone has a plan that they want to implement, and would rather run the clan, please let me know and I'll step aside and you can start it.

Re: Hellgate: London - the NDA has been lifted.
well I don't see why you need more than a way for all TG hellgate players to get together, there is no main competition or what not and now raids yet. although in a month or so if anyone wants to do a timed run through I plan to after getting my blademaster pretty high level.
