I freed them. It didn't turn out as I expected and I wasn't able to resolve the situation the way I wanted. Well, I tried to be good and that's what counts... right?

My guy went to hell. I had plans to be a neutral merc type guy but it went bad from the start when I killed the overseer, destroyed megaton (not my fault I told them what was going to happen and they shot me -.-)

Went back to vault 101 after awhile tried to help them killed the new overseer and got told to leave vault 101 and never return (*******s should have just killed them all)

The dad dude was pissed at me for destroyed megaton then he died -.-

So I took my revenge on the world by killing traders and joining the slavers.

Also have a bounty on my head

Now my target is to find the junkyard so I can get my dog :P

Just finished the game...got a crap ending my guy is dead end of game lol not really the best ending and I never got my dog *sadface*

I was hoping to be able to wander around after the main quest...guess not.

Nope, no wandering. If you want to keep playing, save before entering "the room" so you can see the ending then go wander afterwards using your save. I was so glad I did this.

Kind of a stupid way to ruin a game like fallout, Oblivion let you lose on the world after the main quest dont see why they couldnt have done it here, they copied everything else lol

oh the end has multiple endings. I take it you didn't put the right code in? If you put the right code in you'll get a different ending but it is the end of the game there.

As you first enter you'll see a number pad to put in the code. The enclave asked you for this code as well. It's not hard to figure it out though, think alpha and omega verse. lol

I copped out in my good ending. Followed a mantra of not dying for my country, but rather making somebody else die for theirs

Running around as an evil character is much more fun. I can actually listen to GNR now

Has anyone found a quest that asks you to get ant queens pheromones?
I was wondering around the wasteland and I got into this car factory somewhere north side of the play area.
Inside the factory there were first a lobby with rubble and ant eggs and couple of giant ants and one big soldier ant. After that office kind of area there was this big factory area full of cars junk and parts. At the end of the hall there was this HUGE ant queen. Me and my pet dog then killed it and got just 20XP from it... and I lost almost all of my ammo, Im lucky I made it back to traider alive...

I haven't read the full thread but while I do Im going to go ahead and ask what companions you have found?

I heard that the sniper of the minefield can be your companion if you let him shoot you couple of times. You might have to be pretty high level because my lvl6 character died from his sniper bullets.

At junk yard somewhere northish from Megaton you find abandoned dog named Dogmeat who will join you. You can order it to find ammo, food and chems and it'll search them for you. Awesome companion. I quicksave every time before the fight to make sure Dogmeat stays alive.

At the slavemarket you can buy female slave for 1000 caps if you are evil from the boss of the town - the black guy in red suit. (Special Karma option)

Spyder

Star paladin Cross is a good Karma only companion in the citadel.
Jericho can be had for 1000 caps for evil karma companions in Megaton.
Charon can be bought or otherwise acquired at underworld.
There's a robot vendor that sells a Mr. Gutsy for 1000 caps outside of the Robco facility, but I think you can only be neutral-karma to get him.
