Be sure to download the HD Textures that are out now. I'm installing them now.

The resolution increase makes a massive difference. It simply makes DA look more like a next gen game now.

The more you play this..the more you really appreciate that amount of work that had to go into writing/scripting this game out. Very impressive..and each segment alone could be a stand alone game.. or the whole thing a big arse trilogy movie..
It's really stands out from a lot of the Shooters etc that I normally play where the action is king.. This one is Story/plot driven..

Just finished the game. Absolutely incredible. Took around 60 hours on the dot. I'm saying this is the RPG of the year.

Unfortunately, I was so strung on wanting a nice co-op RPG I was a bit blinded. Ultimately, I'm glad I purchased it. Now I'm left wanting more, thankfully for us, mods are in the works.

I'm excited. One thing that sucks, is once you beat it, game ends. You cannot re-load your game and finish any pending quests. I was a bit annoyed at that. I have a few open before I went into the finale.

New DLC. Return to Ostagar and get some revenge on the darkspawn and reclaim the armor of the deceased King. Cost is $5.

There's a solution to that! Play it again. I'm just finishing my second run through. Like some of you I played an Elven Rogue the first time and to be honest, that combined with the learning curve meant I basically gave up on stuff like the Revenant fights. This time around I'm playing a Mage and it was a lot more enjoyable since Mages are by far the most powerful class and benefit from giving them your full attention. Get Arcane Warrior and you can even wear that nice Juggernaut armor set yourself.

    Re: Dragon Age

Arcane is nice, but while using swords, you only have the basic ability to attack. I pretty much always stayed in Combat Magic mode.

As far as a second play through, I'd have to re-play with a mage, as I had no interest in other classes. I enjoy using magic, and being overpowered way to much, lol.

    Re: Dragon Age

I was a mage first, next i would like to try elven rogue and stay as an archer as long as possible. Then ill just have wynne and morrigan in my party as the two mages and maybe alistair or something.

    Re: Dragon Age

I'm loving my stabby rogue way too much (the DPS is better than any mage) but my next play through will be with a mage.

Same here. Up until the very end I really only used it for the armor. At the end though I got my 4 arcane skills so I turned it on for the "ghost" mana generation. It wouldn't have been so bad with the swords since I had some good ones except for half the spells it seemed to waste time having to put the weapons away.

As far as a second play through, I'd have to re-play with a mage, as I had no interest in other classes. I enjoy using magic, and being overpowered way to much, lol.
If I played a Mage again I'd focus on some of the other magic types which I didn't really touch. I had my guy focused mainly on AoE damage.

I'm contemplating doing a third run but haven't decided if I'll do a Warrior (to complete the three classes) or do a Rogue again but use some of the other abilities such as stealth, traps, etc.

For those having difficulties my main recommendation is to make sure you have 2 Mages in the party. A balanced party is typically 2 Mages, 1 Warrior (to tank) and 1 Rogue (lockpicking).

In this game I just finished I used Lilianna as ranged the entire time and it worked out pretty good. Especially when combined with Ranger to get that extra melee fighter.

    Yup:

1 healer mage, 1 offensive mage, 1 rogue, 1 tank

    perfec'
