Re: Guild Wars? Opinions?
I had the best experience with Guild Wars not playing with random pubbies, but actually working with my team-oriented guild. I actually thought of Guild Wars as a good fit for the TG mindset, as PVP often required good team cohesion and communication. The skill involved player-wise and team-wise is much more fun imho than WoW ever offered.
Wow. Thinking of this game has got me drooling all over it again. I wonder if I could install it again. Now if only I could get the 21st to play this... that would be sweet.

Re: Guild Wars? Opinions?
I played GW for awhile. It's a game that is easy to get into, but unless you're in an active guid, hard to stay into. It's fairly easy to get tot the maximum level, the very low 20, after which is just a test of party and tactic; which is fun the first few times, but gets very repetitive after not too long. Speaking of repetitive, the expansions seem to be exactly the same with just a different culture. You start in a small training area all peaceful, something cataclysmic arrises and you move to the mainland and wander until you find the cause of it. You achieve somekind of transcendance and try to stop some individual from destroying the universe.
If you're into being only slightly more powerful than the day your character was created, its the game for you. I found it quite boring having such a pitiful level cap. GW2 might be better, but im probably going to stick with the bigger NCsoft title: AION. Go check it out.

Re: Guild Wars? Opinions?
4 years, all expansions and just over 10k hours later Guild Wars is great with a good guild. Its big, pretty, and really about choosing and perfecting skill usage and maintaining interpersonal relationships. The level cap makes it like nascar, minus the mullets. Its especially interesting to PvE enthusiasts with a collect and conquer mentality.

Re: Guild Wars? Opinions?
Anyone still play this?
After not playing much for a good 7 months, out of my huge group of friends that I used to play with, the majority of them have moved on after years of playing in MKOD, which is probably the best experience I could imagine (we were the highest luxon faction guild before mqsc, and before the JQ and FA update, with no requirement whatsoever
)
I have seen good times and bad times, I have started guilds and killed them off, I have done just about everything and now I simply was wondering if anyone knows of a good guild to stay in and not play much but still have a good time when I do.

Re: Guild Wars? Opinions?
I've been thinking the same thing, Darth. I haven't played this game in a very long time. Mostly because I have no one to play with. Only time I do hop on is to check for birthday presents (5th Birthday for my E/Mo in about 2 months
)

Re: Guild Wars? Opinions?
Yawn well getting into modding for Morrowind has at least given me something else to do, I simply hopped into an old friends guild for the time being so I can afk ftw there. Some of the patches they are making are ridiculous these days.
