Re: DA:O questions?
Strong call.. Also I "was told" to look in the General store and you will find Barrels of Oil for lamps etc.. Great for burning.. Talk to Sir whats his name and he will use it to burn the path ahead of the zombies up top... near the mill. Unfortunately my AI didn't quite understand that Burning OIL is bad..and they ran into it.. 2 died... Geez....
But I finally got it..the Dwarf crew really limited the lower attack..|TG|ARMA Pathfinder
..now where did I put my keys?

Re: DA:O questions?
"was told" reading guides already peardog? tut tut
im up to this battle playing on hard omfg its impossible. I did it on normal with my human rogue, now im trying it on hard with my elf magi.
(btw i started a new character cos i was bored spending nearly all my time just moving my character around the enemy to flank)
but ill try luring them up to the mill, thats sounds good
my main problem i guess is i'm running out of health and lyrium poultices - and yes i have used all my elfroot and lyrium dust.
sten my tank is always the first to go once i run out of poultices and i dont have enough mana to heal him with my main, then im left with morrigan and the rogue leliana.
oh well

Re: DA:O questions?
Never really saw Sten as much of a tank to be honest. Lacking a shield he gets flanked too easily and doesn't have the 'anti-knockdown' ability that a sword and board person like Alister (or however you spell it) has. Getting juggled is a pain, I'd think it'd be worse if the tank was getting juggled as well.
On the flip side, a sword and board tank with Sten for melee damage is pretty good for large crowds and holding a line. A rogue or archer is good for single target, but the sweeping strikes and knockdowns of 2 handers makes short work of AoE packs without dealing with the friendly fire of bombs and mage spells. My sanity is not in question...
It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.
Light, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they ticked me off.

Re: DA:O questions?
I'm usually running with three mages, myself included, and a tank. It's working pretty well. Wynne on the healing, Morrigan and myself doing DPS, and Shale as my tank.

Re: DA:O questions?
I'll change it up a bit. I'll switch out Shale for Sten, or when I'm wanting to open locked a chest, I'll use Leliana.

Re: DA:O questions?
i keep getting overrun at certain spots where there are about 15 guys attacking you at once. My tank gets about 5 guys on him. I hold about 3 and the rest are hitting on me or the tank until they break off and attack the mages. It is crazy. We cant heal fast enough. anyone else having troubles like this? How did you handle it? I believe i'll be able to get an aoe stun/knockback for my tank, but i haven't got there yet. multiple aoe stuns would help but the only characters that have it right now are my Dog and morgann. :/
Other thoughts: I am enjoying this game quite a bit. I enjoy that it is actually challenging. Except for the parts where 15 guys swarm me, which seems to be getting more frequent. lol|TG-XV|Viking

Re: DA:O questions?
The game is super challenging in certain spots, heh try getting the Juggernaut armor from the Forest. Also, getting completely overran by Drakes, they are tough as hell.

Re: DA:O questions?
Really enjoying this game for the most part. Couple things bother me such as limited to 4 players, no world to explore, and the storage system but overall its a great game thats a ton of fun.

Re: DA:O questions?
Make sure you get the storage add-on from the social site. It's good to have around.

Re: DA:O questions?
From where? I hear there is one in the Grey Wardens but not at your camp where it is needed. I also heard about a mod that adds on in for the PC but I am running this on the PS3.
