Needless to say, I then had to turn around and kill another damn Cliff Racer (I wish there was a mod removing all of them )
It wouldn't be Morrowind without the Cliff Racers.
Still, you could try one of those realistic animal behaviour mods: there was one I always used that was pretty nice, since it modified the agressiveness of the various "normal" creatures depending if they had the Blight, character level, natural propensity to attack, and some other stuff. I'll need to search for it...
Well the white screen is gone, and was instead replaced with a bunch of white splotches and red trees. When i try to remove all the shaders and start fresh, the screen returns to a blank white. This only occurs in exteriors.
These splotches also exist indoors, instead of being white, the are "transparents". Things such as the name s of people and dialog boxes are invisible indoors where the white would be outdoors.
My Resume includes Pirate and Mercenary, what else do you want.

When you can't run anymore, you crawl and when you can't do that, you find someone to carry you.

I am actually having the exact same problem, no shaders on = blank white screen but only when outside, inside is fine. When shaders are on = white blotches everywhere and not really great quality visuals anyways. Indoors with shaders = transparent blotches that blur everything and block things like HUD components and writing (ie what a door is called). Help please?

Likewise. Cannot get distant land to work at all with this revision, shaders or not. Was working fine with the latest stable MGE but obviously no shaders.
Hmmm, Everyone having the same problem sounds strange to me. I had the exact same issue with the white splotches and I am trying to rack my brain to find out what I did to change it. I am asking around to see what help I can find.
Would it be possible to take a set of screenshots showing the configuration you have for each of the options, like distant land and its wizard? I think showing that sort of information as well as listing what addons are enabled by morrowind will probably show us what needs to be done.
Reinstalled and generated my distant land without doing anything shader related. Loaded up my game to ensure it was working, then saved and exited.
Unzipped my shaders from shaders 30.08.09 and Pkmix. HOWEVER - I did NOT install the InGame.fx in the distant land folder of Pkmix as I suspect this was causing the problem. This is only speculation however.
Setup MGE for shaders, added them to my active chain. Presto, everything works. Hope this solves the problem for the rest of you.
EDIT: Pkmix's InGame.fx definitely seems to be the cause of the white splotches. Using the file that comes with MGE causes my rain to only show up in menu mode though.
That fixed it, i decided against the depth of field, but the shaders look great. ONe gripe: whenever i transition to a new area (indoors to outdoors) or save my game, the screen goes full white with bloom and then goes back to normal after the action is completed.
Also, i was wondering if you noticed how some trees have leaves and foliage from far away, and they disappear when you get closer. I'm trying to figure out why this happens but i can't figure why.

I had the same transition blinding effects too. For the longest time I just closed my eyes whenever I saved or loaded a new cell, but something I did suddenly made it stop, wish I could tell you what it was but I have no idea. I don't have the problem you mentioned about leaves, it might be that you have some incorrect distant land settings or missed a plugin during generation?
As for shaders, the ones recommended in the OP are good, but I prefer knx_SSAO, KNX_DoF, ImprovedWaterCaustics, SunshaftV002a, and trueBloom_g6_i6 as per Vurt's recommendations. Depth of field definitely is a radical change and takes getting used to, but I think it's awesome.
EDIT: I upped my distant land distance to see about your leaf problem and I have it too, just never noticed it I guess. I keep my cell draw distance pretty low, don't like being able to see across the entire island, mostly use distant land for Vurt's Groundcover.
I personally like to be able to see all across the island in clear weather, as it feels more realistic having the view only blocked during ash storms etc. Also rifter, those shades you mentioned are indeed the ones I showed in the OP
Hey guys I'm having a slight shaders problem. It seems that knx_DoF_v12 shader is causing EVERYTHING to be massivley blurry when the game is launched. Any help to fix that? Or do I really even need the shader? Also the knx_DoF_v12_pk one does the same thing. Other shaders work great it's just this one that makes stuff really blurry.
Here's a screenshot of the shader editor prievew with the knx shader on.
With the Splash Screens, the pictures that show when the game loaded, is treated as an object for the shader effects. When you play the game with the DOF shaders, you add Depth of Field, causing everything in your characters peripheral vision to blur while the center of the screen to remain in focus. Much the way your eyes work. If you don't like the effect it created (like me) then just remove it from the list.

Hay can you please tell me what settings ur distant land config wizerd is set to. i have don all the shaders but am unsure of how to get the exact same distant land as the one in your picture.thanks you
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
