Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Nice Undead! I'm powering through my way as a mage/fighter character. I've been on an average of 4 hrs a day for the last 2 weeks and still exploring. I haven't been over to the east side of the map yet. My computer continues to have a hard crashes and Blue Screens so it's a little frustrating. Bethesta doesn't have good support. I picked up the x-box 360 version because I wanted to play w/o the crashes but it freezes sometimes and I don't have a HD TV so the visuals don't come close to what the computer is capable of. I'm definately picking up Knights of the Nine and the next installment/expansion pack- I can't get enough of this game even with the crashes.

Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I've found 194 locations, been everywhere just about, I'm struggling just to find side quests to do now. I've completed 160 quests as well. Only put in about 110-115 hours to. I actually exploit the skill/stat system like I did in Morrowind. Example, I always set my acrobatics to a major skill, and then I just jump everywhere and level it up like crazy, its maxed now. You can do that with really any skill that you set as a major to gain towards your main level. You can do it with minor skills, but it won't increase your main level bar.
I still need to get more mastered skills, with a master of acrobatics, you can jump on water!|TG-12th|Undead

Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
115-120hrs?? That's good to know. I'm still at the point in the game where I'm savoring every new area that I find. This sounds cliche but I don't want this game to end and I'm taking my time so that it doesn't end anytime soon. One problem I'm running in to in game is that I need to boost my alteration skill for protection spells. Its at 16 and I need 25 to use a purchased protection spell. I've been adding points to my willpower, but the 16 never increases. I don't have any other spells that use alteration, any suggestions?

Re: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Probably should buy another alternation spell to use. You can use the spell over and over, and gain more skill level that way. Or you can try to read different books to raise your level. Or find trainers in various mages guilds throughout the land, and look for the people who train for alternation.
