BTW, could you guys save me some time, and let me know...if you know off the top of your head....where to find my saves? After thinking about Vulcan's fate, I felt sick at the thought of losing my game.

I've got a level 2 Swordmage. I haven't gotten deeply into the game yet.

You should be glad that you have the easy to navigate Oblivion journal to track your quests instead of the one from Morrowind. If I didn't complete a quest in one sitting I'd never finish it because I would forget what I had to do and then be unable to find the instructions in the journal.

By the way, I finished the Theive's guild quests last night, yay! It had a weird ending though... rewriting time?

Well I've completed 127 quests, all quests for mages, theives, and dark brotherhood, just need to finish and move up 2 more ranks in fighters guild. I've completed mainquest, and the ending was awesome.

    I'm only a level 30 nord-stealth-warrior

but now I've got my imperial dragon armor.

I doubt it's really "free" time. I'm sure there's a hidden cost in there somewhere ...

So I take it you can finish the main quest and still keep playing? That is awesome! I haven't done anything more on the main because I'm just enjoying the world so much. If I can do both, that's very nice.

Yep you can continue the game after you beat the mainquest, game never officially ends, even when you finish all total quests, because there will be so many quests added. 360 version got another quests and I beat it, was a really cool one to.

there is not cost right now to playing, I'm unemployed..well its a cost, but ya know how that goes.

I've only put in about 90hrs though, really not to much some reason I just kept running through everyquest, because it was very addicting and found myself wanting to know what happens next, especially in the mainquest.

Oh, ps, by the game allowing you do keep going, that allows you to increase every single stat to the highest and get a really uber character, who knows maybe they'll add a pvp system for the pc, or maybe someone will eventually mod it in, Now that would be awesome.

    Holy crap, 90 hours

I've been playing in most of my free time and I'm up to 20 according to XFire. I think I need to get rid of this "life" thing. Sleep less maybe.

Tried it. Wouldn't reccomend it. Apparently looking like a racoon is very unattractive to women lol.

Re: Oblivion:So what level are yoiu at?

Well I'm now about level 18, a master of Conjuration, and an expert of Illusion. I've also finished the Theive's Guild. Combat for me is pretty much like this: Run around with Grey Cowl of Nocturnal on, see enemy from 120ft with life detection, summon a lich for 40 seconds on self, cast invisiblity on self, walk towards enemy. My lich then follows me and blows the crap out of any enemy nearby.

My only complaint is that the AI for summoned creatures isn't really good. My lich likes to walk around and do his own thing sometimes, he casts disintegrate weapon/armour spells on monsters when they do nothing to them (or uses fire spells against flame atronachs), he fires off huge spells that damage within ~10ft, but only when I'm standing near the enemy. I can summon deadroths too but they waste the first 5 seconds after you summon them casting buff spells on themselves, and then when they start fighting they miss with melee attacks a lot. I've summoned them before and they only hit the enemy once in 30 seconds. They only seems to be effective if you can get the enemy pinned in a corner so they can't get away from the deadroth. So far the most effective summon I've found for melee combat is the clanfear. They're super fast and they like to pounce on the enemy, which rarley misses and does tons of damage.

Maybe there will be a mod or patch or something that makes the summoned creatures smarter. At least make it so my deadroth only swings at the foe when he is actually close enough to hit it.
