Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
Oh man, looks like ya'll will be taking even more of my free time from me. Soon as I get TQ reinstalled on my new PC I will be joining you. Someone asked is the game worth getting? Well, I had over 400 hours on my characters, the game is on my top ten list of all time and it's only $20 on Steam. Yes, buy the game.

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
I just got the game
I hope to play with you guys soon. I tryed playing Diablo 2 recently couldn't really get into it (I'm a graphics whore) and when playing online my friends rushed me thru (not technically a bad thing).
I'm taking my time with TQ and I'm enjoying it
Some clicking issues for me but oh well
Let me know when you guys are playing

<sob>
Recently installed (at the same time because I love punishing myself)
Diablo 2 (hadn't played it before)
Titan quest + add on (hadn't played it much before, never got to expansion)
Hellgate London
Plus, I'm still addicted to Counter strike source and working on my map for it.

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
I'm loving Titan Quest plus the Expansion. The new Dream speck is a beast, being pretty much a Warrior class for spell casters
They lack any sort of healing power but geez the effects seem to distort reality.
Plus the expansion has many improvements over the original. One of the coolest things is enemies respawn when I load up the game again, that way I can dungeon crawl again to get some more loot, grind some more XP if I'm stuck and overall it's just fun
I unfortunately bought and played Diablo 2 + Expansion and had the horrible realization that the graphics sucked, I couldn't wrap my head around how to play the game well. The only thing I liked was the super huge bosses, which unfortunately Titan Quest doesn't have too much of
(I've seen one huge giant, his roar made me crap my pants first time I heard it)

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
I'm downloading now on Steam after being inundated for the past two years about how great this game is.
I finally caved after reading a thread about it on the Quarter to Three forums.
I'll let you all know if I get into it enough to try online. I joined the Steam TG TQ group."No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
I'm really enjoying this game!! I surpassed level 8 last night and rolled a Templar (Dream + Defense). After hearing so much about how good the Dream mastery is, I chose it as my original mastery, and what they say is true. I've only made it to the second tier of skills, but Phantom Strike (where you go invisible and reappear in front of the baddie to do +50% damage) and Trance of Empathy (where damage given to you is reflected back on the enemies) are both awesome skills. Usually I'll do a PS before a mob sees me on the highest level baddie, then release a Distortion Wave which kills off a lot of the lower level guys in one go. I hear DW isn't that powerful later game, but with 4 points into it right now, it is absolutely crushing most of the monsters I run across, especially birds, harpies, and skeletons.
I went Defense for my second mastery because it seemed to fill in many of the blanks in Dream... mainly that Dream is a powerful up close and personal melee class that could use some tanking ability to hang in the fight. The only really useless skill in Defense I could see was Shield Charge because Phantom Strike seems to do the same thing, only way better due to the fact that you go invisible.
The only downer right now is that it will probably be a while before I beat the game on Normal and be able to quest with you guys at higher levels.

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
I'm only level 16 or so :P But yah Dream Mastery rocks! I speced mine more like a caster though. I got the nightmare pet, who rushes in and does AOE attacks usually automatically killing more than half the mob. Otherwise I'm pretty much stuck on the automatic benefits and their version of auras

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
What is your secondary mastery? I was actually very closely considering going Earth for all the area of effect, close range spells, but I opted for Defense for its survivability. I thought going 100% caster would leave me too vulnerable to damage, and I didn't want to drink my way through the game. I already go through energy fairly quickly with the Phantom Strike/Distortion Wave combo.

Earth - Core Dweller - almost indestructible. Alright, TQ will officially be rotated back into my playtime. We need to get a party going.

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't chosen a second mastery yet, I'm saving it to make a final decision. I was thinking of nature since I lack all things healing :P But if I get that final aura I get health replenished anyways.

Re: Titan Quest - News, Forums!!!!!!!!!!
Trance of Convalescence at level 16 mastery is a healing trance for Dream, I'm pretty sure.
