Re: New Radiohead

Just bought the album and gave 'em 5 pounds. Listening to it now. I really like it thus far.

They didn't "fire their label", and bands never can "fire" their label. They were under contract, just was trent of nails was until two weeks ago. They released all of their required material and were free to do what they wished or sign a new contract.

Re: New Radiohead

Well I think it's pretty average, and not nearly as good as The Bends or Ok Computer.

Re: New Radiohead

I listened to this album 3 or 4 times on my trip to the Middle East last week and I quite enjoyed it.

I might be a new Radiohead fan. I'll have to get another one of their albums, first.

Re: New Radiohead

This album has a nice ambient feel to it.

Re: New Radiohead

My first reaction was that it's another Amnesiac - wonderfully crafted but a tad more forgettable than one would like. Having listened to this album several times now I'm more and more impressed. The compositions are interesting, to me at least. It's a little astonishing to hear pop music with such strong links to classical music. They pull it off.
