Yep. I strongly believe in the second amendment. If you can LEGALLY and SAFELY obtain firearms, go for it man.

But he was not legally allowed to purchase or own the guns.

But that's a SERIOUS amount of weapons. I doubt he's a "collector."

Considering his history he might just go sell them himself after buying them.

When it comes to serious stuff like life and death, the government prefers to take precautionary/preventative measures instead of just punishing after the fact (like Demolition Man). He obviously knew what he was doing was illegal. Otherwise he would've just purchased them legally, he has the money.

The "assault weapons" ban was lifted a few years back.

On a side note, I must say, he has good taste in weaponry.

"Thugs" can't shoot anyway. Notice how they always shoot their handguns sideways to try to look cool? Also notice how they never seem to hit their target? During drivebys, they always hit some innocent stranger in another house. Case in point, take a look at 50 Cent. He got shot nine times and still lived. That's some REALLY bad aim. So yeah, rappers definitely shouldn't be allowed to have guns anyway, because obviously they are incapable of properly and safely handling a weapon. Have you EVER seen a gun safety video or training class presented by a person on that side of the social spectrum?

I don't consider TI a "studio thug". (Basically someone that asks like it to sell records.)

However I believe he has all of those guns because last year his entourage was fired at in a drive by and one of his friends was killed in it.

He is out on bail though it took alot of pleading though. He can't leave his house unless it's for court or a medical emergency. He can only be visited by 3 people at a time and whoever visits him needs a police background check.

I think I need to go pick up King (last year's album) and TI vs TIP. I have a feeling those might be the last TI albums for a few years since these are all federal charges IIRC.

Based on what I got from wiki his first stage name was TIP. He got it from this nickname he had (tip) but because of his southern accent people thought he was saying Chip.

Because of that he went to T.I.P. and eventually changed it to T.I. because of a labelmate named Q-Tip.
