I would like to take this opportunity (as i have just gotten my posting rights back it seems) to apologize to everyone for my comment to skud in response to his comment asking menthilated to "leave the country". I should not have worded my response like that. I am not unreasonable and sometimes i need to reread my posts to realize what i have really said. Though i feel that at some level i am being held to a higher standard then the more senior members i obviously need to be even more careful with my tone and responses. I have had my membership revoked and though its in the admins right to do so and i respect their power i am very unhappy that i have been effectively banned from the COD4 server i have played on for more then 6 months without a complaint against me. Some seem to think that when i make these some times personal remarks that i am showing disrespect for the community but i feel it is quite the opposite. I get personal because i want the members of a community i have grown to love over the last 6 months to really listen. Im not unreasonable and if i am able to recognize my jerkyness i usually apologize (as i know some of you have seen me do).

I understand most of these infractions and accept them but i only ask that the senior members look past age, post numbers, and their own personal friendships with other posters when handing out infractions. Though i have made several personal attacks i have had several against me, with apparently no action taken.

If the community does not feel i am mature enough to post then i accept that but please dont take my membership.

I do commend them for not going straight for their side arm, as a person wielding a knife may warrant lethal force -- but this thread isn't here to disparage or degrade cops that do a good job and it can't as the focus here is on cops who do a bad job, specifically so bad that their actions tend to be criminal.

On the same token, those cops that do perform well do not redeem those who do not.

I understand the thread hurts your feelings, but your previous post isn't pertinent to the topic here.

so i can only post negative things about the police? i find it funny bc i believe magnum is a police officer or a retired police officer......and in reality he might be asking why "you" meaning "US the readers of this forum dislike the police" but that doesn't mean i can't post reason's why i respect and like the police, and feel that if someone posts a negative article on the police why i can't post a positive article about the police......so yes you post something negative, but i post something positive. agree to disagree?

yes to an extent those who do good don't necessarily redeem those who do bad, but in any type of job there are always bad apples, and why should one negative article(s)/post(s) automatically represent that "all cops are bad", that makes no sense....
If we all lived like that, then there is a good chance we wouldn't be discussing anything on this forum or using computers, because i am sure that when steve jobs and bill gates came out with prototypes for windows and apple programs they didn't work 100% to begin with, but did they throw it all away, no......they made positive adjustments and those positive adjustments eventually out weighed the negative. No matter what, there will always be negative things that people write about the police, or there will be screw ups made by the police both by accident or deliberate, but you shouldn't automatically assume (i don't assume, but "you" [not trying to single you out switch]) the worst.

Basically what i am trying to say is that you can't hold/blame the whole police system on a few bad apples (i think i rambled a bit much).

I leave you with the words of the character Otter from Animal House and this brilliant piece of dialogue (you can if you wish switch fraternity with police academies, precinct, judicial system etc):
