Is the press biased?

Earlier today the AP ran this article:

Audience boos as Bush offers best wishes for Clinton's recovery
By Associated Press, 9/3/2004 13:57

Here's a link to the audio: http://homepage.mac.com/mkoldys/bush.mp3

Here is how it was covered in the press:

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) President Bush on Friday wished Bill Clinton ''best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery.''

''He's is in our thoughts and prayers,'' Bush said at a campaign rally.

Bush's audience of thousands in West Allis, Wis., booed. Bush did nothing to stop them.

etc.

Maybe a better question is, are the press lying through their teeth?

Re: Is the press biased?

I don't follow the red/blue pill comment either..

When you listen to the audio file of W's comments, you hear people cheering and clapping in the background after he wished Clinton a speedy recovery. Yet that article did say that the crowed was booing.

But then again, the night after a police officer was hospitalized for being brutally beaten, and a republican delegate was punched in the face by a running protester, CNN reported "...the second day of peaceful protests" at the RNC.

What I meant was...Welcome to the Real world.

I see this stuff all the time when I watch news on the FTA sat from several countries, and I just have to flip on CBC or BBC news, then flip over to the US news. Sometimes the stories contrast so much its unbelievable. Who's telling the truth? No one knows, its the nature of propaganda.

Re: Is the press biased?

Ah. Well at least in this case we know who wasn't telling the truth.
