I doubt that. The UN is an ineffectual organization that is horribly corrupt. It's filled with politicians and only politicians pander to it. The concept is great, but corruption has ruined it.

I was going to post this same thought. There is more and more evidence coming out now showing the Oil for Food program was terribly corrupted. The coruption, it appears, was actually sanctioned and managed by the UN, and Billions were made through it by France, Germany and Russian (among others, but its interesting that they were the largest beneficiaries and the three major countries that opposed us).

If that kind of corrpution and greed is a requirement to be liked by that group than I think we can continue on as we have. We invited them to join us, and they voted for the resolutions as well. Bush made reasonable attempts in my mind to get them on the right side of history and they refused. It's evident now that their loyalties really were with money.

What has the UN done right lately anyway? I don't think we should abandon the UN, but they have a serious credibility problem right now and they don't deserve more genuflecting from us.

So are you saying that the majority of nations out there are saints? Cause I must warn you that reality is going to knock you on your ass in the future if you choose to actually research what the other nations are doing out there.

Actually "we" didn't do that our pals in Europe did. I see terrorism as the bastard grandchild of European colonialism. Some are happy to let the USA take all the blame and do all the work, others are helping to shoulder the load.

Am I paranoid or is anyone else seeing a connection....

Kerry blasts the Swiftboat veterns political group, calls for Bush to do the same thing, Bush does one better and blasts all 527 political groups, Kerry critisizes him for not blasting Swiftboats specifically....

Kerry hires Zach Exley as part of his campaign staff who served as the organizing director for MoveOn.org.....

CBS uses forged memos in their story against Bush and then we hear that at least 2 of Kerry's staff had contact with the person who forged the memos before the story occured on CBS.....
