Big difference, especially when the wall they want to build is not the same length as the border it is supposed to be "protecting". 700 miles of fence on a 2100 mile border makes me feel about as secure as that gun under my pillow that I have no ammo for when there is a burglar downstairs. |

Re: The North American Union - Zeigeist
The wall doesn't know what it was built for. It just does what a wall is supposed to do - keep things on one side from going to the other side. The Berlin Wall was as much about keeping the west out as it was about keeping the east in.

Your posts have inconsistencies. First you say that this stuff has already happened, the world has gone to hell, the sky is falling and we need to bunker down. Then you later admit that the likelihood of any of this stuff actually happening is along the same odds as a meteor crashing into us tomorrow. You've now even changed the "new" currency from Amero to Amera, heh. It's one thing to come here and make a post, "Hey guys, check this out. This is what I think, what about you?" It's something totally different to say, "This stuff is already happening, we're all doomed. But on a side note, check Ron Paul for President 2008." You could be a person that's truly concerned about a possible catastrophe that could befall the US populace. However, the way you've gone about it raises my suspicions greatly.

And if you think that any wall we put on the border is about keeping Americans from leaving, well, whatever... I can't believe you're arguing this point. Oh, and did you guys see these? It was designed by a coin designer that did the New York and Rhode Island state quarters. ![]()

Re: The North American Union - Zeigeist
Cing, I'm suprised that you, of all people, don't know the story behind that coin.
The Amero does not exist yet, nor is there any plans to create one. However, a professional coin designer who is personally betting that they will make one at some point in the future decided to design a prototype on his own in the hopes that the Mint would use him to design the official coin, if and when it ever actually happened. That is a photo of his prototype, and the coin is not actually legal tender for any transaction, anywhere. Think of it like a piece of his resume, stamped into metal.

Re: The North American Union - Zeigeist
=P Trust me if Ron Paul(?) hired me I'd be spreading this in more places. He didn't, his administration didn't. I just saw him interesting, found him while editing my second post and it just seemed that he was more different than any of the other candidates. Your vote is your vote. Aside from that I play BF2142~
As for the mis-spelling of Amero, sorry for that again, it was a pretty late post and I was tired. I'm all open for opinions, I'm bad on the law, constitution side of things. That was why I changed to a more calm state when it was said that the chances of the constitution being destroyed is slim to none thanks to the Army. I'll admit my first few posts were pretty bad and I apologize for that again. I still stand by my thoughts on the constitution being re-written or eliminated in the near futures as a possibility its best to get these things known. I only threw Ron up there because he was entirely against it and the war ~ Its sort of the same what us Americans are against. P.S Amero is an idea in the works, its not a fact yet. |

Re: The North American Union - Zeigeist
Why? Because you posted it in such a way as to suggest it was evidence for the coming Amero, when it is, in fact, nothing of the sort. And then because you declined to offer any explanation whatsoever to the more jittery folks among us who have already shown an inclination towards being scared by that sort of thing. I expected that had you known what the thing was, you would have shown the courtesy of explaining what you were posting, instead of merely fueling the fires of controversy.

Re: The North American Union - Zeigeist
Fine, fine...except for one small problem. It's NOT an Amero coin. Its a metal-stamped resume piece that could theoretically serve as a future prototype of an Amero. That difference seems significant to me. I take it you don't agree?

Would you say that the prototype presidential dollars are something other than presidential dollar coins?

You have to consider context, Cing. The difference between "The US Mint plans to scrap the dollar as a currency" and "this one guy decided to make an Amero piece to put on his own metal-working resume" is more than mere Semantics.

The fact that this is a proposed coin changes the discussion how? I don't understand. Does the photo increase or decrease the likelihood of the Amero being real and in our future? Does the photo mean that even though the Amero is real and is coming in just a matter of time, that we can't change that? Does the photo confirm that the Amero is just a conspiracy and that nobody seriously wants it? The photo changes nothing. It's just interesting. There doesn't need to be any context there. It's just a cool looking coin, and the presence of such a coin really isn't important in the grand scheme of things...

I still believe bad things are going to happen. Maybe not tomorrow, in a week maybe in a few months. Who knows but, I'd rather not see it happen. =/ I'm speaking as the useless new generation of America to the older one. If you get the opportunity to speak out of do something about it (For those whom agree that this is not the way to go) please do so. Every voice matters. As for this whole Amero thing, yes it is a concept being proposed but as we know it MIGHT be getting worked on. I mean, the North American Union was never proposed was it? It was just one of those things we found out two years later. |
